Went with friends on a Friday. The food is all prepared and cooked by culinary students and the price is an amazing £12.95 for three courses! For the lunchtime menu. The fish and chips was excellent, light beer batter and fresh fish that fell away in big flakes. Nice setting, good drinks selection and students trying hard to make your visit an enjoyable one. Absolute credit to them. I do think sadly though, that some people fail to remember that this is heavily discounted, quality food, in a lovely restaurant environment, so that the students can showcase their talents. Brilliant and highly recommended.

Highly recommended, I wished they opened more nights.The 3 course meal I had for £15.95 was beautiful presented and the food was cooked to perfection.Staff attentive and is run like a well oiled machine.Deffaintly try this if you have never been.

Went for lunch on Friday, beautiful restaurant, service is fab and giving young people excellent experience and opportunities. The food was absolutely amazing, this is going to be a regular lunch and dinner spot. Highly recommended!

What am amazing concept, will definitely be back. I had the scallops to start and it's up there with one of the best starters I've ever had. Beef shin for main, absolutely delicious, fell apart, whole dish seasoned very well. My dessert was a peanut butter parfait and I'm so glad I went for that option. Everyone should be super proud.

I have been fortunate to dine in some fantastic restaurants and this one does not disappoint and put on a wonderful Burn’s Night Supper. Right from the start it looked to be a wonderful evening. The servers were well presented and polite, the ambiance was relaxed and jovial and the food...... was out of this world. Reading the menu had be bursting with excitement and did not do justice to the plates that arrived. Course after course had my tastebuds exploding with the well sourced and beautifully prepared dishes. I could not believe that this was all prepared and served by students! I had a wonderful evening and will be returning. I hope that one day in the future, we will see some of these students in a Michelin Star restaurant either as front of house or in the kitchen! Many thanks for an evening to remember.

Went to the Wharncliffe for their Game night in October. The tasting menu was just outstanding, the food was beautifully prepared and the service just perfect. I have been here for lunch a number of time too and the food is incredible for the price charged. But back to the game evening, a tasting menu worthy of Michelin star levels in my opinion. A proper fine dining experience. They do lots of food evening experiences too so get in quick as I have booked into all of them for 2023 after this experience.
