I visited Midhopestones while cycling from Edinburgh to London in June. Ye Olde Mustard Pot was one of the highlights of the trip. The food was great, the room was great and the location was beautify secluded. The staff were incredibly kind, and accommodated my unreasonably early breakfast request. I remember the experience so fondly and will definitely be back.

Enjoyed our meals but it's a dog friendly pub so probably won't be back because of that.

Went for Sunday lunch after a hike. We felt welcomed and warm. Food was well priced and you got a large portion as well. The food tasted very nice and I would go back again.

Visited for lunch with friends. Hadn't booked, table for 7 found for us. Staff are friendly, place is cosy. Food was served quickly and was fresh. Only two vegan options (burger and a roast veggie sandwich), both were delicious to be fair. I love that there is a separate allergens frier for GF/DF food so no worries about cross contamination. Would absolutely eat here again if we're ever passing. The carpark is huge as well so handy for a group of us meeting there in different cars.

Ordered steak pie and it was as dry as a bone and pastry was like concrete. Told server who did nothing about it - still got charged even though I didn't eat half of it - thank goodness for gravy!

We had a family gathering here, 32 of us. Seating and service were both good. We all had a lovely afternoon.
