Popped in whilst visiting a customer. Happy I did. A really friendly couple run this chip shop. I only had a fish, but the quality was very high. Batter very crisp and fish was fresh. Top class service as well.

Absolutely one of the most original fish n chip shop left so wonderful to see ..The staff are polite an welcoming nothing too much trouble. The shop is exceptional clean. The food is cooked to an high standard the fish is actually like eating steak, very thick, good size flakes an so White too - not that gray looking fish , the fish isn't mushy at all nor is it watery.. it really is beautiful. An you get a good size for your money ..The chips are cooked well, they are fluffy in side an crisp on the out side an with a nice colour too , not that of anemic looking an mostly definitely not frozen..A cracking little fish n chip shop with cracking food ,you won't be disappointed at all .. give them a go, you will be wanting to go back for more don't miss out , Enjoy now .

Call me a spoilt city girl but wow these fish and chips were the worst I've tasted. Firstly bones in the fish, tastless dish and the batter was all greasy and no taste. Then onto the chips these were OK but nothing to harp about, definitely not cooked in dripping which is what give them that chippy yummy flavour. The curry sauce was definitely a powder mixed up and the amount of marg I the bread cake I could have made a cake with!!Highlight was the faithful benshaws what a waste of 18quid!
