Only stopped in for a drink. The staff are sooo friendly and helpful but the place drastically needs updating. Such a shame because it is huge and could be amazing, but it was only about an 8th full. It competes against some nice pubs in the area such as nags head, nelson etc. So just needs a refurb to compete. But staff are amazing and good choice in gins ?

Wanted a light lunch, so ordered a bowl of potato and leek soup. Was served barely half a bowl of soup. It was hot but covered in an unappetising skin. When I asked if that was really the full serving of soup the barman said it was meant to be a starter. The soup was tasty but consisted of only about 5 or 6 spoonfuls. That and the hard sliced bread served with it made the whole meal poor value for money. Won’t be returning.

Came here for a family evening and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and value for money. The staff (Ryan) were brilliant with the children and really welcoming. It’s clean warm and homely too, would defiantly recommend.
