Lovely restaurant, very accommodating. We last went just before they stopped offering the buffet option. We arrived late and they were still happy to produce fresh dishes. Exceptional food and I’ve heard from multiple people in our home town that it is even better now!I cannot wait to try again!

Arrived for a late lunch, nice welcome on arrival. Hubby had mixed grill and I ordered posh fish and chips. The staff were polite and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. We both enjoyed our meals immensely! The portions were large and everything cooked to perfection. A very tasty meal for both. We will be returning again!

Only stopped in for a drink. The staff are sooo friendly and helpful but the place drastically needs updating. Such a shame because it is huge and could be amazing, but it was only about an 8th full. It competes against some nice pubs in the area such as nags head, nelson etc. So just needs a refurb to compete.But staff are amazing and good choice in gins ?

We go to this restaurant every week the service is brilliant and always receives the best service the waitresses are friendly and hardworking always willing to go out their way to make us feel comfortable they always put smiles on customers faces and is very polite. We hold many of our family events parties etc here and will highly recommend.

Me and my family order from here regularly and if ever we have a proper it’s sorted promptly and professionally. I’ve never met more genuine people who actually want the best for their customers. If I could give more stars I would because the food is absolutely unreal and the customer service is second to none. We’ve lived all over and this is by far the best chip shop. Really lovely people and really amazing food. Xx

We booked a table and were amazed to see the large car park was full. There were two booked parties and an unbooked party in addition to customers like ourselves - a tall job for the staff with over one hundred and fifty people, but at no point did we wait excessively or feel the place was crowded. Staff were wonderful, friendly, and attentive and we lacked for nothing. Full credit there.Food tasted wonderful and arrived hot and without a long wait.I had the crispy chicken strips for starters (pictured)Really tasty, lovely batter etc.Pork belly for main course (pictured) great stuff. Veg was nicely cooked, pork was tasty, potatoes were very nice.Pudding was caramel Sunday also a nice course.Food portions were sensible and fillingAfterwards the landlady came and had a good chat with us. Really friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended. Thanks for a wonderful meal.

Really liked this pub. Good beers selection and a warm friendly feel about the place. It was mid afternoon on a Saturday when I got the and it was middling to buy. By the time I'd left, our was the last table available.Dog friendly. The barman even offered to look after my dad while I looked at the available ales. Very friendly. Will be back.

Our first visit to this restaurant it is very clean, nothing special when you walk in just how friendly and pleasant the staff are. To be greeted with a big smile by the reception and by the waitress is the best.Service was first class, and the food was fantastic. Good wholesome food cooked to a very high standard and I large portions.It has a constant takeaway trade but the sit down was spares, only us on a Friday evening, it needs some people to up the atmosphere. Pay it a visit, give it a try
