Lovely staff, amazing food, well priced and in a lovely Victorian building. I can not praise this establishment high

Had an absolutely delicious meal! Shared an afternoon tea with my Mum with the children enjoying cake & hot chocolate. Very good portion sizes and great value for money. Friendly service from the staff and very attentive throughout our visit. Hadn't been here before and definitely plan to visit again.

Really lovely food, fabulous service at great prices, parking outside can be a struggle but you can park in the local town and walk to the cafe, vintage style decor and old vintage tea sets around as decor. Very lovely staff and the sandwiches and afternoon tea are lovely. A little steep at 25 for two people and you don't get an awful lot for that but the quality is really good. I ordered extra sandwiches. The egg and cress were really the best I've had in a long time. Group bookings welcome. And it was very busy but still staff were attentive and not stressed etc. would definitely recommend this.

We had the most festive tea today. The turkey and cranberry sandwiches were fantastic. We had the most lush Christmas scone with jam and cream. We also got to take home a piece of Christmas cake and a mince pie gorgeous. The staff were fantastic as usual.

We visited this tea room on a recommendation from a friend today . The building is beautiful, the decor and dining tables left a lot to be desired and all looked a rather disjointed interior with minimal atmosphere. Service was fine, coffee was fine but the Sunday lunch for £11.95 was bland and unappetising. The chicken was presented as a fillet of chicken breast , over cooked and dry, no skin or evidence of being freshly roasted. It was nasty. The gravy didn’t taste like chicken gravy but rather like a beef packet mix gravy. The stuffing ball tasted like a Paxo packet job and was dry and anaemia looking. The roast potatoes tasted like they had been precooked and re warmed and the carrots and broccoli were bland with lack of seasoning. Yorkshire puddings were no where to be seen but I believe they were listed as part of the roast. We were very disappointed. The all day breakfast looked more encouraging, and wish we’d have ordered that instead. We didn’t stop for desert as the quality and freshness of the food was now in question. Such a shame.

Stuck behind industrial facades and with a rather washed out sign on the main road, after a lovely trip to the wedding shop across the road, we decided to risk going in. Parking was round the back. Well, what a lovely surprise, a very atmospheric tea room, with pleasant surroundings and lovely staff and immaculately clean. Try and find it amongst all the old and new brewing buildings.

Nice quiet tearooms. Food is always spot on. All prepared to order so don't expect fast food. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea with friends.Freshly made sandwiches with a choice of bread and fillings.Tasty scones with jam and cream and a choice of gateau. One of the best cup of teas served in china cups with saucers.Reasonably priced too. Always friendly helpful staff at Langans who never hurry you.

Took 3 friends for afternoon tea but ended up with sandwich and gateau. (Booked in advance) No white bread in the establishment. Sandwiches had hardly any butter on them, thick brown bread, really dry. Gateau was stale on the edges and cream in lumps, not fresh or moist. Nice cup of tea though. Service ok but we were the only ones in there for the majority of the time. Disappointing visit and sadly unlike my previous time when food was nice. Sainsbury’s only yards away so if I was the manager I’d have sent someone out for a loaf of white bread. Hopefully only a blip as I’m sure the Community project is worthwhile.
