Gurkha

Can’t complain about the service and the atmosphere but to be honest if you have travelled and tasted real authentic Indian or Nepalese food, you will know that none of the dishes here taste like their original counterparts. The butter chicken is just chicken with some kind of gravy but not what we call butter chicken. If they called it something else my expectations would’ve been less but since I expected to taste what I ordered, I was let down.

Taohua Restaurant

A superb menu - wonderful range of options to choose from, including vegan/vegetarian & delicious meat options.Great service, in a nice, comfortable, dining area...a very good wine list and overall great value across the board.Definitely impressed.Plenty of (pay) parking near byHighly recommended.Vegetarian options: Superb tempura AubergineParking: Large public car park. Busy but plenty of spaces, too. Cheap.

Stunning atmosphere - a very cosy place that takes dining to another level. The food was great and came out hot, fast. This place has little to no faults. The only issue some might find with this place is the pricing, however, you get what you pay for (quality is top notch) ?

The Crown Inn

Crotchety boss, and somewhat impatient bar staff, but the waiters and food people are really nice and helpful.Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options, but the pizzas are good. Almost nothing for vegans.

Thai Marina Restaurant

Food was really good as was the service. I liked the fact that we were asked when would we be ready for the main course after the starter. As often you finish the starter and your main arrives minutes after.

Claypot lounge

1st time there. Didn't even know where it was. Absolutely beautiful food. Staff lovely, nice atmosphere ? definitely will book again.Parking: Parking is free after 6.30pm so we had to park elsewhere as we had early booking. But we know for next time.

Shahi Village

Lovely Indian food at the Shahi Village! We celebrated a 16th birthday party there for 20 people. We had starters, mixed grills and a variety of chicken mains- all tasty and on point!

Bell Inn

Visited the restaurant for wife’s birthday, being celiac I have difficulty finding places which you can totally trust. Although most restaurants say we can accommodate gluten free they don’t really understand the issues attached to celiac. The Bell as I found it, is a really good option for anyone in my position with a good understanding of the requirements. Normally a Sunday roast is not something I would trust due to cross contamination when serving lots of plates of similar makeup. No problem here with their food presentation and offering of Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese and gravy all gluten free. It was interesting to see other diners there who were also celiac that had been visiting for sometime. I highly recommend would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone not just celiac’s, great to have fresh properly prepared food.

The Jinnie at Rolleston on Dove

Honestly I’ve been coming here for almost a year and today was the icing on the cake, the festive menu was amazing, reasonably priced drinks and fun staff! The Spread Eagle

We have had a fantastic experience today, all staff were so kind, warm, welcoming and informative. Our starters, mains and deserts were absolutely delicious, the offer of £20 off was a great surprise. We are now members to receive further offers, we can’t wait to come back. Horse Shoe Inn

Went for a meal on 3rd Feb using my 30% discount and it was all delicious! My partner had the chicken tikka curry and I don't usually eat curry but I tried that and I ate more of it than he did ??just spot on! Was with naan bread, poppadoms, mango chutney and chips. Absolutely brilliant!I had the hotdog and even though it was different to any other hotdog I've had, it was just lovely!Their cheese bites on the starters are my favourite thing, always hot and crispy and gooey ?Thank you for another excellent meal!

Outstanding takeaway! The homemade doner and special kebab were incredible, and that homemade sauce truly elevated the kebab's flavors. The Sadders Special Pizza was a delightful surprise. Decent food, and they didn't keep me waiting—quick delivery too!

Muffin Break

Amazing staff and great food, absolutely love there hot chocolate and milkshakes beat any other in Burton. Their food is delicious love the toasties and cakes can’t beat a nice hot chocolate and piece of cake to warm up and brighten your day. The staff are so polite and always willing to help

Little India

Had an incredible meal at Little india last night. Came down after hearing good things about the place and reading the wild reviews. I must say I wasn't disappointed at all. Starters were delicious along with the main course and desert. The waiters were very attentive and always tried to help even though it was very busy. Best curry I've had in years and I'll definitely be returning again pretty soon.

Anglesey Arms

I came in for a little get together with some friends a couple days ago, I must say that despite what other people are saying I had a really great time , I thought that Tracey and Paul made us feel extremely welcome , the food came out reasonably quick and was excellent ( for reference I had the bbq mac burger) ; the portions was a good size and very tasty!. The pub had a lovely atmosphere’s and like I said the staff was very engaging and friendly. Recommend highly and I will be back again soon!

Kebab Village

I've been here before and the gentleman (Addi) served me a fresh hot nan and shish chicken kebab.Bloody marvellous and tangy with clean salad.Will be back as the menu is going to get a couple of new dishes.Smart.

1) Food what can I say bloody delicious. As a vegetarian it's so nice to come across a menu that has plenty of options. very well catered to a range of diets: vegan, gluten free ect.2) service as a takeaway the delivery guy was charming and kind. No negativity to announce.3) atmosphere, the pickel tray gave off good vibes. Nice to see more the your 4 standard pickles. Overall meal left us very happy.Sooo go enjoy your takeaway you know you want too, I know I did ?

Favourite Thai Restaurant

Grilled prawn salad was ?. Nice bbq chargrilled taste with fiery spicy salad.The Jumbo Garlic prawns also cooked perfectly, Soup was very warming for a cold day and had plenty king prawns sat under the mushrooms.

Chai O'clock UK

Really nice tea and friendly service, nice little seeing as well was empty when we went so was really happy with the experience. We came from out of town, but when we do visit again, we will definitely pay a visit to this place. Thanks Chai O Clock :)

Food and service were very good. Disappointing that there was no pulled pork (Unfortunately each time we come there seems to be an item unavailable). Would still come back.

Chooky's Chicken & Pizza

Great food... Consistently good. Great portions delicious. Have a delicate stomach. Don't get stomach aches, so obvious oil is regularly changed for fried food. Would definitely recommend

Grill And Roti Junction

Lamb Palak always tastes great. Only issue is sometimes you get loads of bones and very little meat. No real atmosphere inside as its mainly food to takeaway but good Asian style curries.

Albion

Had a very nice Boxing Day dinner. All the food was very tasty and good portions. Staff were polite and friendly Only thing that let it down was that despite choosing, ordering and paying for it in advance, they somehow ran out of Christmas pudding.Apart from that all was good and I would still recommend the Albion.

Dog & Partridge

We stayed here purely based on the room. We loved the old fashioned beams in the room and it was just full of character. Exactly as advertised.The food and staff were great too. Perfect stay. Will hopefully stay again ?

The Grange Inn

A decent pub within a residential area of Burton. Pool tables, jukebox and poker on Thursdays. On road parking. Recently started stocking Estrella beer, which is well worth a try. ?

Red Lion Newborough

Just been for a quick lunch with my wife and was so impressed with red lion, the barman who served us was superb, he was polite, friendly and above all human. Excellent. The food was first class and prompt, we will definitely be going back, a massive well done to the Red lion, 100% excellent.

Romanian Food & Shawarma

Highly recommend this place! Took 2 friends (Indian & Chinese) here to clearly show them why Balkan/Eastern European food is so good and they really enjoyed it! Very polite and friendly staff, the customers who come here are very good people and the food here is soooo good! Both mains and desserts are worth the try. LOVE THIS PLACE! LOVE from Bulgaria ??♥??

George & Dragon

Arrived at the pub to spend the night there. Had booked in for dinner which was very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The steps to the accommodation are very steep so not for the disabled. The bed was comfortable but the pillows had seen better days and were very flat. Also, no one had been round the paintwork with a damp cloth in a long time as the dust was stuck to it and the room could do with an overhaul but value for money.

Baan Thai

The place is so beautifully decorated ! The atmosphere allows you to travel to Thailand.The chicken Thai green curry was exquisite! The level of spice was low to my liking but the flavours were very tasty.The prices are also reasonable - the side of egg fried rice was £2.80 and the Thai green curry of chicken £9.50.I definitely recommend the place!Parking: Few minutes walk from the place, there is a parking free of charge for 3 hours, around B&M.

Skinny Kitten Cafe

Really lovely little cafe. Had lunch here whilst visiting a spa nearby. Lovely food and atmosphere. Lots of really different things on the menu to your run of the mill stuff and although I didn't try one the cakes looked amazing.

Balti Tower

Awesome Balti, best I've had in a long time. Really friendly staff. Take your own drinks or get a drink from the pub over the road and bring it over. Has become one of our regular and favourite restaurants.

First time here and didn’t even know of this place. You take your own drinks but you can use the pub next door for your drinks if you want. The food was fantastic, tasty and hot.

Been ordering for a while now. Never had a problem the food is quick to arrive Hot and tasty. Delivery drivers are friendly and helpful.It's a lovely treat after a long week at work.

Manzil Gold

Excellent food and very friendly staff. Take your own drink.Parking: Just be careful where you park as one area is only for 2 hours or you need to pay online, no good if you're going for a meal. The bigger car park is free at night for up to 4 hours.

The Apple Tree Coffee Lounge

From the moment me and my nan entered we were welcomed with a lovely friendly smile by lovely staff, who immediately acted upon my nans inability to walk far, sat us at a near the entrance and ensured that this was ok, which it was greatly appreciated. The service of both food and drink was quick and the drinks were actually hot not luke warm like some places. Food was delicious and filling. The members of staff where very professional and so accommodating that when my nan had a coughing fit they came over to ask if she needed water and to make sure she was ok, it’s things like this that make a customer feel so welcome. The coffee lounge was slowly getting busier yet the staff still ensured that everyone in there were still looked after with a smile . There was no waiting to be assisted, very quick service and was very tempted by the gorgeous looking cakes ( we had to of course take some home ). I really couldn’t recommend the apple tree more, from the moment we entered till the moment we left, we felt so welcome. Wing Wah Chinese Restaurant

Beautiful place, delicious food, staff very nice. Sometimes there are too many people and then there is no way to move, you get horrible tables, for example at the stand where dirty plates are thrown in - horrible sound And every now and then someone walks around you. Except for days like this, I really like going there.

William IV

First class service all round. It's a nice pub for a drink or for entertaining family and friends. The food was to a very high standard and it came out hot. We are off there again this evening as it happens. This is going to be our new local. Just as a side note; you have to pay cash for the food but everthing else can be on a card.

Edward Street Fish Bar

Had for my lunch today the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in burton so happy. Fish was nice and thick and well cooked, batter wasn’t too thick and the chips were fine. Felt I should review, will be back that’s for sure though I have been here previously and not reviewed so can’t have been that memorable so maybe this place is up and down, dont know but will try again when I’m next passing and hungry. Decent portion too for the price, had a mini fish and chips meal deal think it was £5.50. Can’t go wrong.

Rolleston Club

A versatile and friendly club, with plenty of facilities and a smashing restaurant. The main function room is excellent, with a built-in data projector and screen - we regularly use it for Burton u3a meetings, which it is ideally suited to.

The Last Heretic

The Weighbridge Inn

Polska Chata

Great looking menu pity we were the only gusts there at the time. Would loved to have had a chat with the wonderful Polish people. We intend to visit Poland on our next adventure and would have liked to have had some tips and pointers on places to visit and food to try. One of the pubs we visited while in Derby for a few days. A little micropub we sussed out when we were wondering where to go and what a find. Got some fab real ales on and is dog friendly. We were made to feel very welcome and will certainly be coming here again when in the area.

I always like two eggs with a breakfast and despite having to pay £1 for an extra egg on the Jumbo Breakfast which does annoy me a little, it was overall still great value for money as teas/coffees are included! So, I'm happy to pay for an extra egg here! The total meal was £17 which is super value and makes it worth while choosing this place every time! ?This place has really friendly/polite staff and the food is fantastic! My Jumbo Breakfast was on the biggest plate I've ever seen! ? Foods really good, at the usual Hugh Greg's standard. Service is good. Atmosphere is good. There are plenty of places to sit but it does get really busy here, and snag a gap in the crowds to avoid queues!
