Great pub with friendly and welcoming staff. Good entertainment and different foods being offered . Cheese night was amazing. Always enjoy going there. Also good that you can have a conversation without being drowned out by loud music.

We’ve visited this traditional style pub several times now and on every occasion have found it to be welcoming and comfortable. Located on the main A511 road it has a large car park with a beer garden and outside yard. It serves a good selection of real ales and other drinks including teas and coffees - on our last visit my partner was delighted to indulge in a Baileys hot chocolate! The pleasant thing that strikes you when you walk in, is it’s retained some of its historical character and still has a series of rooms including a cosy front snug complete with original settle. It just lacks a real fire in the inglenook which sadly seems to have been modernised many years ago. Although this is not a food chain pub (which in itself is a refreshing change) it offers snacks and pizzas which are prepared on site and good value. On our first visit in the summer, we had a lovely afternoon sat in the beer garden eating pizza and enjoying the live entertainment which the owner regularly puts on. Overall this is a lovely asset to the area which is clearly very well run with pride and passion by a local family. In an era where smaller traditional pubs are under threat, it’s great to see this one flourishing. We look forward to our next visit!

We had to wait a couple of hours to attend a funeral at the nearby church.The landlord was extremely helpful, the food was fresh and well served and the drinks were very reasonable. He also allowed us to leave our car in the pub carpark. A real gent

Just had a couple of beers and a takeaway pizza, absolutely fantastic value and one of the best pizzas I've had for years. Well done shaun and all the staff for a great experience ???Well worth a visit.
