Lovely Indian food at the Shahi Village! We celebrated a 16th birthday party there for 20 people. We had starters, mixed grills and a variety of chicken mains- all tasty and on point!

Sorry not to my liking. Too much cumin in everything. Overpowered everything else. Onion not fully cooked in mushroom rice.

Another fantastic meal The mixed meat starter on a sizzling platter is something you won't get unless you visit the restaurant!

Absolutely wonderful food, highly recommend. Wasn’t very busy when we went but I can’t see why as the staff are really friendly and the food is great. I will definitely be returning.

Extremely good food, very fresh, including the fish and prawn dishes. The lamb was great also. A very clean and extremely nice restaurant and the staff were so friendly and nice to us, even our baby loved it. I highly recommend Shahi Village, you will not be disappointed!

We love the curries at Shahi Village so much that we ordered food for our wedding reception. Communication throughout was brilliant and the team arrived with the food on time and it was all lovely and hot. We ordered for 40 and had Chicken Bhuna, a vegetarian curry, basmati rice, onion bhajis, samosas, nan bread, salad, homemade chutney and mint yogurt. It was ALL delicious! Everyone commented on how good the food was so hats off to the chef, thank you! We highly recommend Shahi Village, lovely people and fresh tasty food! We definitely wouldn’t hesitate to use you guys again for any events and will always recommend you to others. Thank you again to all the team :)

Booked a table at the shahi village for a a family birthday party. Service was amazing staff was very attentive and also gave us recommendations on what to order. The lamb Karahi was tender and the nan bread was also nice and crispy. Would definitely recommend best restaurant in burton and would visit again!

Having been to this restaurant before in it's many guises over the years we thought we'd try it after it reopened (again)....we won't be going back. The place has been redecorated, but not very well & has retained the old faux leather chairs which are peeling & repaired with black duct tape. There were 2 or 3 tables occupied when we arrived, but despite there being 3 staff it still took 20 mins for them to take our order. Having taken the order the waiter then advised us that there may be a little wait as they were very busy ! 40 mins later very average poppadoms & pickle tray arrived. 50 mins later the mains arrived. Bland tasteless, greasey, overpriced curries which weren't worth waiting for. The only positive was that they recognised the service was slow therefore deducted the charge for the poppadoms. There are a number of far better Indian restaurants to choose from in burton - go there instead !

Came to Burton to visit our nephew/cousin and researched potential indians. Village had good reviews so chose. Service and welcome was very friendly. Restaurant was bright in central location. Food was fabulous. Sag aloo exceptional. We were a group of five and all said it was wonderful. Simple presentation and breads cooked and presented to perfection. Cooking would not be out of place in any top indian restaurant. Perhaps if more busy wonder whether could cope with number of front of house, but they appeared to be dealing with take aways also so perhaps not problem.
