Received a voucher for 30% off main course. Partner ordered mix grill, picture In menu show a lovely OVAL plate with all the mixed grill on it.His turned up on a round plate, no mushrooms, half the chips as normal and an egg, well, well being the operative word, well done, small and crispy, I think it was an egg.Waitress, no oval plates available, but no one else had one ? No mushrooms, so extra onion ring, yes onion ring 1. So go to the sump with a 30% off voucher, and they reduce your meal by 30%.Did have second voucher, which is now in the bin.Plus a coke at £2.75.

Food and service were very good. Disappointing that there was no pulled pork (Unfortunately each time we come there seems to be an item unavailable). Would still come back.

We did ask for a seat in the conservatory but got told not possible. Didn't bother us as my little girl liked the lights where we were. But after a cancellation the manager who was always friendly told us and helped us to a table looking outside. All staff were very friendly and clear. Great food, great service. Going again very soon.

It was not the best experience in all the times we've visited this pub. Rang to add some more to our party, which was done, but they'd messed up on the time of the booking. When we arrived, we found we'd only been given room for the highchair I'd requested but not anyone else. We were told our area was at capacity, and the pub was fully booked and reserved. My sister was offered a seat on the other side of the pub. My stepdaughter then decided to leave and find somewhere else to eat. In the entire time, that we was there a total of 3 TABLES (18 CHAIRS) didn't get used. I felt the staff had been rude to us,and could have quite easily seated us all together but for some reason didn't want to accommodate our request to be moved .Dietary restrictions: It's not the best place for a large gluten-free selection.

Our table was reserved for us, the bar service was good, and our meal was very good. An enjoyable experience. Thank you.

The lady behind the bar was very rude and abrupt, we ordered a starter One bbq cauliflower wings, well over 30 minutes to be served, it was burnt and very bland served with some rocket, the main courses we had was the Ultimate spicy beef burger which comes with two thin patty’s one about quarter of an inch bigger than the other overcooked and dry, burnt bun, about 30 warm not hot fries thrown all thrown onto a plate, and we also had ordered the hunters chicken which comes with comes with 20 warm chips, a few pieces of limp bacon which was like a pork scratching came with a so called “salad” which was a few pieces of rocket and half a tomato’sThe wait was too long for the value of the food and the price and for how not busy it was is ridiculous. Only pro was the waitress bringing the food out was lovely. The pictures will be added to.

We arrived on time and ordered drinks. There were only two choices of white wine. We asked where our table was and were shown to our table right next to the kitchen door adjacent to the toilets and open door to outside. It was cold in the draught so when another couple left we asked to move. I chose the mixed grill and my wife the rump steak. We went to order to be told that there was no steak and, in fact, only gammon, from the mixed grill. This is the third time we've tried The Sump to be told that they have no steak at all. There could have been a sign simply stating that so that we would have not bothered buying drinks. It makes me feel like the place is being deliberately run down.

Lovely friendly pub/restaurant. Food is excellent quality, lots of choice and really reasonably priced. Particularly enjoy Summer when we can sit outside and watch some of the best views of the Trent..

Pre booked a table for two and found the whole experience very easy on the web site.We ordered food at the bar starters and main where hot and made a nice change to get food served on warm plates. It really does make a difference.Polite staff and great service all round. Will be going again next week.

Marstons menu, which seems the same as most pubs with most things served with chips or fries. Food was mediocre tbh, the kebab meat was hard to find in the flatbread with kebab and the fries tepid. Very little chicken in the chicken tikka curry and our friend who had the jacket potato had to ask for butter. The apple crumble bore no resemblance to crumble- more like a soft porridge like consistency on a bit of apple
