Delicious lunch for a late Mother's Day treat! Didn't wait long for food and was great value for money.

Not a good experience at all. This was my first visit. I managed to make contact with an old friend who lived in the area and rather unfortunately picked the crossing to meet up for a drink. I drove there from Loughborough, parked in their car park and went in to meet my old friend. We stumbled upon a quiz night of which consisted of around 4 people in the entire establishment. I ordered a couple of drinks and started reminiscing with my old friend. I then went to purchase my second round and found no staff at the bar. A gentleman walked up to me who I think was the manager and said. Don't worry she will be out in a minute. 20 minutes the bar was unattended. We decided to give up and move on. Nearly 3 weeks later I received a letter from a private parking firm asking for 175 pounds for parking in the crossing carpark. So I called the Crossing and spoke with a lady called indiana. I explained I was there in the pub that evening. She then rudely accused me of parking in the car park and then buggering off into town. I argued the point I was there. And described the quiz night and the unattended bar. And also mentioned I failed to see any sign to register my car. She relented and said she will sort it out. I then received a voicemail from her saying the parking charge is too old and I will still have to pay it. Whatever you do, Do not visit this place. There is a real uncomfortable bad vibe about it. And as long as there is breath I'm no body. I will not pay their car parking charges

Had the turkey and spinach pie, it was delicious! ? Rich and creamy and very filling. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the pizzas are large and very tasty, the meat feast is the best.Service was friendly and polite, and they coped really well with a table of 14 people.Only minor criticism would be that there's no sauces or condiments brought out with the food, but no BiggieWould definitely recommend ?

The staff here were really nice but the food is very basic and overpriced. We hadn’t been before so we were really hoping for better. I had a pizza, the sauce was unmistakably just tomato puree, it was cold and the veggies on top hadn’t been cooked (or for just a very very short period of time!!) although the base was cooked nicely unfortunately everything on top was cold and raw. Basic food can be fine but this wasn’t worth the price. I ordered a side of chips which had been forgotten and then took ages to come but then another extra portion of chips and onion rings came out which we hadn’t ordered and this was on the bill at the end. It was removed when we advised we didn’t order and as mentioned the staff were great it is purely the food for the reason of this review. This may have just been a bad one off and I’m only leaving this as constructive criticism but we wouldn’t return because of this experience.

Called in for bite to eat and a beer , they had three beers (ale) on offer but on request all three were not available, no bottled ales either only lager and 'golden" beers were for sale, obviously sells more to the younger customer, had soup and a sandwich which was ok only there were no spoons had to go and ask for one which were inside a cupboardOverall not what I wanted but food was ok.

Visited The Crossing a few weeks ago, the service and food was good, however, when it came to the bill I was overcharged by quite a lot, unfortunately I didn’t notice until it was too late and once I did I let them know and they attempted to give me a refund which I have still not received. I called about it and was told they would take it to management but didn’t hear anything back, I then went in and tried to get it sorted and I was told they couldn’t do anything on that day because they were too busy which is fair enough. I then got a phone call from the manager and in so many words was told there is nothing they can really do and that they are investigating and to wait another week, it has been over a week now and I’ve still heard nothing. I have now had to raise the issue with my bank. It is quite disappointing as I usually enjoy going to The Crossing.

Came in for a drink with work friends. All was fine until we witnessed a member of staff speaking to one of the younger members of staff. We watched how she spoke to the young girl and were appalled. There was no need to speak so rudely and abruptly to the young girl. We saw the young girl keeping busy most of the evening and seemingly doing quite a good job. She was friendly and polite when we spoke to her. We didn’t think it was fair how she was spoken to and especially in front of customers. Also drum and base music was more of clubbing vibe not for a chilled drink or meal.

Menu choice poor, fish overcooked no chips just undercooked skin on potatoes. Bread and Butter ordered but not delivered. Sticky Toffee pudding good. Was really looking forward to Sunday Lunch.

Popped in purely to see why I’d had a parking ticket for the use of the carpark . The manager was absolutely brilliant about it . We had been in the week before had drinks and then I got this fine . If you do use the carpark and go in to the crossing please make sure you pop your reg in the I pad to stop you making the mistake I did . . However the manager has excellent customer care skills and handled my situation perfectly .
