We have had a fantastic experience today, all staff were so kind, warm, welcoming and informative. Our starters, mains and deserts were absolutely delicious, the offer of £20 off was a great surprise. We are now members to receive further offers, we can’t wait to come back. We called in for some food last Tuesday & there was a quiz night on so we stayed for that too & we came 2nd. Great night. Food was lovely & quiz was great fun

Treated for a birthday lunch by my son and his wife, grandchildren 6 & 2 and a half year old. Waited over an hour for food. Not all tables were occupied, so no excuse for the poor service. Food ok, but not hot enough. Waited again for table to be cleared, waitress came and took two plates, came back from the kitchen and had obviously forgot the rest because she walked past us!. Waited again for 2nd round of drinks to come, my daughter in law had to go to the bar to remind them to bring the drinks to the table, then another long wait for puddings! I work in catering, I know it can be difficult, but there needs to be some training here. We were not the only unhappy people!

Lovely visit today!, we went to see the local charity bike run and chose to stay for food, service was efficient and food was amazing, very busy for a Saturday lunch too!

We have recently moved into the area and have previously had a meal at the Spread Eagle. We decided to take some friends for lunch. They were delighted with the food and the welcoming atmosphere. We all enjoyed our meal.
Party of 7 people - The food was good, but the service was quite slow (we sat for 20 mins before anyone came to take our order), we had to prompt the waitress for dessert menus and for our bill. The worse thing was, our evening was spoilt by a loud pub quiz which went on for the entire night. I have visited this pub several times and never had to endure anything like it. There were only 3 other tables filled in the large restaurant area, so I think they need to review the popularity of the quiz. I will definitely not be going again on a Tuesday night.
