“Been to this pub now a few time and normally have a good experience. Went for lunch today as always the staff were really friendly even though they were mad busy but unfortunately the food was not up to the usual standards. Had to wait over 40 minutes which even though I was on my lunch break, I wouldn’t have minded had the food turned up and was editable. Ordered 3 items from small plates, chicken goujons and hunters BBQ chips. The goujons were overcooked and the other was soggy chips due to the change from grated cheese to cheesy sauce. Not liking the new menu and hope it’s just here for Christmas. Had it not been for the friendly service by the staff who were so busy and the fact we’ve had nice food from here in the past, if it had been my first time to this pub it would put me off going again.”

“Walked into Toby carvery and got a table very quickly even without booking, service was 10/10 especially the chef working on 14th October, he was absolutely lovely and made sure we was happy with our meal.The gammon was particularly nice on a big dinner, one of the best carvery experiences I’ve had for a while! Thank you to the chef who made us feel at home!!”
