Really lovely place. Tasty food in generous portions. And the children's meals come on little cake stands. Attentive, friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere.Highly recommend.

Lovely tearoom. Fresh cakes and bags of character. Could've murdered a bacon butty but had to make a difficult choice and went for a scone

We had great food with great service at this gem of a location in Leek. This was our first try of Staffordshire oatcakes and we loved them so much as well as the tea rooms that we returned for some more. The staff were really friendly and helpful and helped with serving our large party of a mix of ages wonderfully.

Visited recently looking for an afternoon cup of tea and cake before going to our hotel. This is a lovely tea room with friendly and helpful staff. We opted for tea and scones with clotted cream which were delicious. Loved the quirky china the food and drink were served in. This place is well worth a visit and a lovely way to start our weekend break.

Fab find in Leek. Fantastically quirky crockery (a Tardis salt cruet?!) the most delicious home-baked cakes and scones (Guinness chocolate cake to die for) and super friendly staff. Made afternoon tea a special occasion.

I went to The Lion House Tearooms for a hen do in January 2023 and had a great time. There was a really generous amount of food with a good ratio between savoury and sweet. The staff were super helpful and friendly prior to and during our visit. We had one member of our group who uses a wheelchair and the staff were able to make it accessible for everyone, which was great. We had to pre-order and the staff were very diligent with dietary requirements, which I really appreciated. Lovely setting and location. Would recommend :)

We recently visited this lovely, quirky tea room after looking for somewhere to eat on the way to a hotel stay. The tea room is beautiful, staff were really helpful and the food was amazing. We ordered a tuna sandwich and the bread was really fresh, a ham and cheese toastie and the ham was really thick and tasty and some homemade scones which were warmed up on request and were delicious. The tea was served in lovely mismatched china cups and there was unique artwork on the walls. We would highly recommend this beautiful little gem of a find and although we aren't local, we would certainly come back.

Lovely cafe with very helpful staff. The tip they gave to take the children to Peak Safari park was spot on too. Thank you ?
