They have a great quiz night on a Thursday that is incredibly popular. They even offer free chips for the team!!!It's a bustling cosy pub with separate rooms adding to the atmosphere. They offer great drinks, beer and typical, reliable pub food.

Love the Roebuck but food has gone down hill in recent times. Chips were not good, pub chips were cheap french fries, pepper corn sauce with an already expensive steak was 4 quid extra and not up to par. The batter on the fish was bland and the mashed potato too. Went with a group of 4 and everyone had something they thought was worse than before.4 stars because I just want to give the feedback on the food but the atmosphere and serving staff were hard working and attentive!

Great place for a few beers and the foods not bad, they serve titanic beers which is a bonus.

What a little gem! Popped into the Roebuck for dinner on the way home from a walk in the Peak District and what a good choice we made! Delicious food, excellent friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. I’d definitely return if I was on the area again.

Booked room upstairs but was told on the day we had to sit downstairs. 14 if us all squashed in with no room for a pram. Kids chicken goujons had blood in which was clearly a vein in the chicken which kids wouldn't then eat. Burger was dry and tastless and not big enough. Salmon tagetelli was tasteless and had to be sent back. On a plus the staff exchanged and was polite. Would return but not for food.

Organised for my Tai Chi group to come for a pre xmas lunch. They have all told me that they had a lovely time, the food was great and all the staff were brilliant. Can’t ask for more than that. Thank you to Andy and the staff there.

This is a charming old pub with a terrific selection of hand pulled ales and great food. Helena and Sally behind the bar were friendly, welcoming and provided excellent service.

When we come into Leek for shopping, we invariably have lunch at the Roebuck. Being in our eighties, a particular attraction is the small, children's size, of fish and chips. Real fish, not fingers, and cooked to perfection., with tartare sauce and mushy peas. Our son had the adult equivalent, a mighty beast, and also cooked to perfection. Try the haloumi fries as a starter. Wide range of other meals available, including the Totally Locally burger, which represents amazing value; all ingredients come from within ten miles. Good choice of beers, well kept, mainly Titanic, but other breweries available. Warm and welcoming in the winter, and secluded outside tables in the summer, weather permitting. Car park free to customers, just submit your reg. number atthe counter. Courteous helpful staff make the whole outing a treat.
