Really enjoyed the stop off at the Winking Man. Cracking location on the moors should you want to sit out on a hot summers day, or get indoors by the fire on a cold and misty one!Fairly priced, quality food could fault it !

Had dinner with friends at the winking man, visited on a Friday night and was nice atmosphere in the bar, plenty of other diners around. Had the fish & chips special which they only do on a Friday. Decent sized tasty piece of cod, real chips and mushy peas for £9.95. was very good. Good selection of beers and ales, friendly bar staff. Would recommendDietary restrictions: Bar staff asked about any allergies when ordering. Seem very accommodating.

WELL DONE TO ??THE WINKING MAN on still hosting your monthly rock night last night on the 26th January 2024There is problems with power in the local area guessing because of recent windsThey still had a band on well in bits cos the place kept going dark and it kinda made it fun when the power did go out and everyone fake moaned and cheered when the power came back on because we knew they were trying their bestIn the pub it’s self they still did meals even though some food in the freezers couldn’t be defrosted due to the electrical problemsMy hunters chicken was gorgeous and the other members of our party enjoyed their food But considering problems they did an awesome jobWELL DONE from The camping TrioMyself Mrs Alison Jane Fitchett , Chris , Phil, Michelle, Kim , and Martyn Who all in all had an awesome night .
Location and atmosphere are really good, the minestrone soup was instant and the salmon was mediocre at
