Pleasant and helpful and cheerful staff served us todsy.A very clean and tidy establishment. Consider the Bakery is situated in Lichfield, a notoriously expensive city, the prices were fine. We will be using this establishment again.

Rude young lady! Went to it’s bakery when Food festival was on . Popped in for a cup of tea and cans of pop to take away . When I took the lid off there was hardly and milk in and it was steaming hot - I went back in to ask if I could have more milk as it was so hot it would be a long time before I could drink it . The young lady through the drink away even thou I explained I only needed more milk . She slammed the drink on the counter with a carton of milk - I asked if they had sweetners and something to stir it with / remove the tea bag ( as the area was cordoned off ) , she came I did the barrier and glared at me . I will never ever go back there and some lessons in customer service would be good ! Incidentally the other staff seemed very polite and helpful - maybe it had been a long day !!!

Lovely little bakery and cafe with some indoor seating at the back and two outdoor tables in the front of the shop. The latter is great on a sunny day with amazing views of St. Mary’s up front. They have the best apple tart and lemon tart here, and also ice cream. Unfortunately they did not have any strawberry tart when we visited, otherwise I am sure it would have been nice too. The lady at the till is super friendly and adorable. There is a narrow passage right next to the shop leading to/from the Bird Street Car Park.

The tea and coffee we had was average but it was the pictures on the wall that were baffling! A standard picture of gingerbread men on one side and a picture of brown chocolate lollies given black curly hair and huge go****og esque lips on the other. This type of outdated racism was extremely distasteful, offensive and hugely outdated for a modern establishment in 2023! They need to remove this immediately if they have any hope of remaining a reputable business and not driving away a plethora of customers visiting the area, many of who will be switched on to these issues. Disgusting.

A queue out the door - I was told by a couple of member of the public carry onto the hot food. I moved out the queue to wait 5 mins before being asked what I wanted. I was then told to get to the back of the original queue - I wasn’t delighted as I’d got my autistic child with me. I returned to the back of the queue - was then waiting again finally to the front of the queue at least 8mins.I say they’d got the food I wanted - ordered it then the person who sent me to the back of the queue said they were fulfilling an order just made. I was annoyed and disappointed the member of staff was rude and mouthed off at me. Another lady then came to their counter to order food - the same order as I’d tried to make - they started weighing up whether they could fulfil her order - shocked and discriminated against. Such a shame as the actual girl that served me was fine - but this is such a shame as it’s completely put me off going there again.
