“What a lovely little placeFood was absolutely beautiful service brilliant and have already booked to go again ????”
“Always like this place, super busy but the food is always good and the atmosphere nice. Love that you can take dogs in here and although you can’t book a table, you usually only have to wait a short while to get a space. Wide choice of meals to cater for all and good for brunch, lunch or dinner.”
“First visit today, one of many I think. Food, service so perfect, really lovely and look forward to returning.”
“Great place for food and great team. Very welcoming team and couldn’t be more helpful. Would definitely recommend!!!!”
“Food was lovely. But I was very disappointed to find there was no Lamb on the Sunday we went and the cabbage had run out.The staff were great, friendly and very accommodating. Would recommend eating here.”
“Stopped off here with my children and friend for a spot of lunch after a long day of travelling! The welcome we received was absolutely phanominal! Staff were fantastic with both myself and my children , when they could tell my children were very aggitated due to being tired then went above and beyond to make sure they were kept happy and thouroughly entertained! The food was beautiful and cooked to absolute perfection! And as an added bonus The Madri was on tap and nice and cold! Reasonably priced and great quality! Will be back!”
“Great service and top tier food. Had a trainee who was very well versed and attentive.”
“Love this tearoom in genuine period building. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is an excellent selection of Belgian chocolates to go with your coffee or to take home.”
“We’ve been relatively regular clients at the Boat just about since Liam opened the restaurant. We’ve always enjoyed eating there - even with some challenging guests (they memorably produced a vegan tasting menu from scratch when we turned-up with an unexpected guest one night a few years ago) and the quality of the food and service has always been brilliant. Fresh ingredients, imaginatively combined and beautifully presented. However, our dinner tonight was something altogether different - every course was delicious, and slightly different from the expected but flawlessly executed and presented. By far the best meal, from many very good ones over the years! More than ever, showcasing the increasingly established produce from the Boat’s own market garden. Lichfield has recently become a tiny bit of a local centre of excellence for great cooking and dining - and Liam is most definitely making sure that he deserves his place amongst its creators. A Michelin star might (should) be on the horizon?”
