Had a great evening for my daughter’s 30th birthday. I’d requested a table overlooking Minster Pool and that’s what we were given. Beautiful backdrop! The food was delicious and the staff were lovely and very friendly. Well done!

Fab food , service brilliant too. The eaton mess was the best I've ever had!! The staff were very helpful. Our waiter was a gem, he was kind, attentive and very friendly. The wine was gorgeous too. Can't wait to go back.

We visited on Tapas night and had a lovely 50th birthday family night. The tapas was really good and the birthday boy enjoyed the sangria very much! There was a good atmosphere and the staff were very friendly

We've eaten at Ego on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. We came to take advantage of the birthday offer and we were very pleased with both the service, the attitude of the staff and the quality of the food. We left replete and happy!

We had the gambas, calamari and chorizo to start which were absolutely fantastic, we then thought we’d just share a pizza for main, however the base of the pizza was so burnt, black. In fairness all the staff were lovely and they took the cost of the pizza off of the bill. It didn’t spoil the afternoon it was just a bit disappointing as we’ve not been to Ego for ages

Restuarant was very busy when i arrived at 7.30am. Waitress came after approx. 15 minutes to take order for drinks which arrived after another 15 minutes but without the jug of water we had also ordered. I went and collected a jug of water from bar after it didn.t arrive after second time of asking. when we then ordered starter and main meal. Sharer starter arrived after 30 minutes and then there was another hour before main meals arrived . I couldn't fault food as it was very nice but my wife and i had begun to lose our appetites.

Could not fault the food at all. However special menu extremely confusing. Chose to have a main course and pudding for £16.95 on the set menu. When the time came for pudding I chose a mini chocolate brownie and regular coffee. Which the waitress let me do knowing I had chosen from the set menu. When the bill came I had been charged £16.95 plus the cost of my pudding and coffees ontop. When I queried it I was told that if I had ordered a large brownie it would have been ok? So all in all it turned out an extremely expensive main course.

Booked for my husbands 50th with the family. Waitress was friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The food had been pre ordered and allergies etc were taken into account. We did have to ask for a break between main course and dessert but this was done and overall the meal was beautiful. Well presented, tasty and a great choice. There was a problem with the beer on tap which they said had been a problem for a few weeks. Bar tenders tried but the draft beer could have been better and took slightly longer to be served. We were positioned by the lake with beautiful views of the cathedral which added a lovely feel to the evening. Been a few times to Ego and always have positive things to say abut it. Thank for for a great night and making the celebrations special.

Another excellent experience at Ego. The restaurant was busy but all courses came promptly, were hot, well presented and tasty. The staff are excellent, they work very hard and are always smiling. Well done everyone at Ego.

We hadn't visited Lichfield before, and found this restaurant whilst walking towards the Cathedral. Lovely location, big windows making the best of the waterside location and view of the Cathedral. We hadn't booked, but were made welcome; the staff were lovely thru'out. We ate off of the Lunch Menu; you get exactly what is stated and the food was excellent. Very reasonably priced. Buzzy atmosphere and very comfortable; will definitely return. Big thanks to the team ! Mike and Pete
