Visited The Barn today to celebrate Mother's day with my partner and kids, arrived ordered drinks and food, had two kids meals and two full breakfasts. My kids meals came out then were expecting our breakfasts to follow but no breakfasts appeared, 45 mins after ordering ourbreakfasts finally arrived that was even after seeing other tables breakfasts come out who had ordered after us, plus they had run out of mushrooms and other tables had been informed of this and we're offered alternatives we weren't told and weren't offered anything. We never even received an apology for our wait were just kept being told it was being plated up now never even got offered anything complimentary for the wait either or money off the bill. Visited last year for Mother's day and was great, this year was not so great in fact was very disappointed with the service, will not be rushing back. The staff were very hypocritical to as they could probably tell I wasn't best pleased and still had the nerve to turn round and say upon me leaving enjoy the rest of your day, mind how you go. I wouldn't recommend to anyone after my experience today

Always worth booking a table to avoid disappointment, though they will always try to fit you in, if they can. A warm greeting when you enter. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely beautiful. Prices are comparable with similar types of establishments. No hesitation at all in recommending you try it for yourself.

Indulging in the afternoon tea at the barn was a treat for the taste buds. The array of pastries, sandwiches, and teas were exquisite, showcasing fine flavors and delightful presentation. However, the experience was marred by the overwhelming number of guests due to being fully booked. This led to a lack of attentive service, resulting in longer wait times and difficulty in getting assistance. Despite the exceptional food, the overcrowding affected the overall enjoyment.

A simple lunch menu but well prepared and tasty. I thought the spicy chicken burgers could be spicier, but, as I like lots of heat, others may find the food hot enough.

The woman running the barn today couldn’t have been more rude to me, my partner and my son when we went in and asked for a table. If you are busy, that is no excuse to be rude to people, please do better.

Met up with a friend for brunch. Surroundings, service and quality of food are 5*. Nice big car park. Superb eggs benedict royale - try it.

Great place to stop during a car journey. Food was excellent and so were everyone that worked there- especially the lady with shorter hair and glasses!

The place is quite small. Less a barn.......more a shed, or an outhouse. I JEST OF COURSE. Given the size of the shopping village the size of the place is just fine. It's actually quite long, maybe ten metres but only, like 3m wide. It's enough for a dozen tables with a few seating five. The place is immaculately clean & tidy. The menu seems fine in terms of range. I'd be worried if they were trying to cook some super-posh 5 course meal with "Foam" and some hog jui cooled to sub zero temps with liquid nitrogen. You know it's a small kitchen so the menu is based (Or at least accounts) on that restriction. The staff seem efficient and communicative and are very polite and friendly. The view outside the window ain't half bad either. I had a cappuccino. It was lovely and only cost £3.50. It tasted like they used fairly dark beans - possibly an Italian espresso roast. So if you don't like dark roasts, ask before you order.

My friend and I meet here every couple of months for lunch. There’s a great selection of meals and most can be tailored gluten free. Definitely try the steak sandwich if you’re hungry! Service is always good, staff are friendly and helpful and keen to know you are enjoying your food. Today we had afternoon tea, one gluten free and one standard. Lovely open sandwiches, cakes and scones with jam and cream. Unlimited tea and coffee available. We both came away very happy but very full! Highly recommended?

Bring a book, puzzles, a Sudoku, 1000 piece jigsaw or maybe a long game of Monopoly to enjoy as you wait forever for a club sandwich. Waitress seemed far more interested in another couple, who kept distracting the staff and who arrived after us but received their food before us, because "our order takes longer to cook". You mean you bumped our order to feed your friends first. First and last visit. £25 for 2 sandwiches and 2 sodas.
