Mother's day experience -one of our party had rang Thyme Kitchen beforehand to enquire if the normal menu was in use ,was told it was. When we arrived there,it became clear this was not the case,and that the (very expensive) Mother's day menu was in use. So we ordered from that menu ,and in due course the meals came.what there was of it was very nice ,but £18 was far too much for the amount served. Desserts were £8 for a very small portion. I appreciate that Mother's day is always a rip off price wise ,but we all were very disappointed.

Thank you to all your wonderful staff for today’s Mother’s Day meal that my parents and I enjoyed very much.The menu was great, the food generous in portion and totally delicious.All the waiters and waitresses were extremely polite and efficient.You could not have done a better job and so thank you very much.

First off - no issues at all with the quality of the food here. We'd been before and would go again, but definitely not for a day like Mother's Day.Value wasn't at all great. Very little food for the c£20 a head for our mains.We'd phoned well in advance to check that the usual menu would be available, ie not a set menu for Mother's Day. We were assured that the usual menu would be available, with some extra offerings for MD.We arrived: set menu/choices only.How on earth £8 could be justified for a lemon meringue no bigger than a jam tart was beyond us.

Average food and overpriced. Ordered pancakes with Nutella & banana and they forgot the banana. Two of us then ordered a slice of cake each, the waitress then came back and said there was only one slice left and we had to wait an extra 20 minutes for it to come. We then had to ask for cutlery.Would probably give it another chance though as the staff seemed rushed off their feet and were trying their best

Amazing food set in a gorgeous location and very cosy setting. I had the vegetarian nan followed by an enormous slice of home made red velvet cake which was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be going back. The staff were very welcoming and friendly too ?

3 stars because the place and staff were really nice, especially our server, Vicky.I’m writing this as a vegan. I have no doubt that for non-vegans it would get 5 stars.The menu options for non-vegans all sound amazing! It’s a shame to only see two options on the menu for vegans - the breakfast or the granola.I ordered the vegan breakfast and although it was edible, it wasn’t particularly nice. The menu online says “Vegan sausage, sweet potato & rosemary hash, mushrooms, rocket beans & toast” and as the picture shows, there was no rocket. The menu on the day also said caramelised onions, which I asked about and was told they were mixed within the food. I couldn’t notice any and they brought me some on the side. Unfortunately, they tasted like hot dog fried onions.Also, the breakfast option for vegans costs the same as the vegetarian option which has eggs but there is no replacement item for vegans.All that aside, if you are vegan and are not too bothered about food, then it is a nice place to visit. The oat milk latter I had was delicious! I hope they offer a wider selection of vegan options in the future.

Went the first time, 2wks ago, fantastic breakfasts, quality food. Smoky beans and vine Tommy's. Second time, thought I'd treat the family. unfortunately 40min before we had drinks, appreciate it was busier this time. Same breakfasts, normal tom, not vine, normal beans. Mushrooms, were mega salty. It was nice but nothing special this time around. And at those prices, a little overpriced for me.Lastly, no mention from the staff a service charge is automatically added to the bill.

I had been to this restaurant before and although the food was ok previously, the service was very slow and a bit careless.This time, we turned up at a Sunday lunchtime without a reservation. They were obviously busy but found us a table straight away, came back for our order after 5 minutes and our food was on the table less than 10 minutes after that. We had the roast beef meal, which was cooked to perfection, and the service was prompt and courteous, with frequent checks by the waiting staff to make sure we were ok. There was plenty of room at the tables and the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Lessons have obviously been learned - An excellent meal, a thoroughly pleasant experience and highly recommended!
After a last minute change of plan we came here for my birthday meal and I am so pleased that we did! After choosing the amazing gluten free corn fritters I was treated to one of the best chocolate brownies I have ever had the joy of eating. Perfectly scrumptious. To top it all off, having mentioned to our delightful and very efficient waitress that it was my birthday we were given a discount too. Great food, great service in a lovely setting. Highly recommend!

We attended the Sauce Supper Club event, where Masterchef Professionals finalist Tommy Thorn was guest chef for the evening. Food was delicious, and staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a great night and will be back soon.

About the 3rd time we have visited unfortunately we were to late for lunch but the coffee and home made cakes/buns were delicious. Called infor coffee and I have to say the scone ihadwas delicious and it washriped withvery generous serving of cream and jam.

We visited Thyme kitchen today for Sunday lunch and a family get together. There were 15 of us in total and from the moment we booked till the moment we left nothing was too much trouble for all the staff we had contact with. The food was delicious, hot and served with a smile. We didn’t have to wait for anything but at the same time didn’t feel rushed and any requests at the table were met with a positive response. We will definitely return and would like to give a special mention to Rae and Vicky for their efforts and attention.
