“Well it's my local pub so I'm going to be biased but to be fair it's a cracking place full of characters you don't see anymore on the pub circuit, can eat hire a big party room catch the sun or watch the football or boxing. Local bands play regularly let's keep British values alive and support your local pub KRO”

“Had a very nice lunch here- 2 courses for £9.99 which was excellent value & large portions. Good food & a nice choice of traditional 'pub grub' meals plus specials. An enjoyable atmosphere & decor.Just sorry they don't allow dogs inside - you can sit out with them but it was a bit chilly for that! So many people have dogs these days that an inside 'seating with dogs' area would be really helpful, & popular I suspect.”

“Great venue.. friendly staff, good selection of drinks. No food tried as visited on a Sunday 8pm,. Great outdoor seating, under cover and canal side seating.. plenty of parking and also an outdoor area for kids/ playground ? can't fault it, definitely worth a visit. “Although quite pricey, the quality of the food reflected that it was well worth it. The service was very good. My friends, who we met up with, brought along their very nervous Collie dog. She was made very welcome. This is a dog friendly place. Definitely worth a return visit.”

“A group of about 14 of us went to the Horns at Slitting Mill after a walk over the chase. The staff were loverly and very helpful. The food was brought out quickly and the quality was excellent. Well priced good food within a great atmosphere with friendly staff. Well worth a visit.”
