Lovely little pub, very friendly staff , been here for drinks prior to breakfast so decided to try the breakfast , very enjoyable good quality food , certainly will be going back. Only one criticism butter please for the toast !

We have recently visited the Railway pub in Shenstone, Staffordshire for breakfast on several occasions. We live in the village and have seen the Railway change hands a few times, but I have to say that the current landlords are truly putting their stamp on this pub. Very welcoming and the breakfasts are fabulous, great tasting, great quality and value for money. I would thoroughly recommend this venue.

Had Sunday Lunch at the Railway and as soon as we walked through the door Zoe (Landlady) greeted us as if we were part of her family. A lovely warm welcome. We had the Sunday Lunch menu. The Broccoli & Stilton soup starter was amazing. I had the days special - Chicken breast which was nothing less than delicious cooked to perfection. Other family members had the turkey and beef which was also cooked perfectly. For desert I had the apple & cinnamon crumble with custard. The desert was enough for 2 to share and again it was the perfect end to a delicious Sunday lunch. I would highly recommend trying the Railway Inn if not for the culinary delights but just for a drink and enjoy the excellent, warm friendly service from Zoe, Chloe and Flo. 100% we will be returning!

Hadn’t been to this pub for a long time and my memory of it was it that it’s just an average pub to visit. However we visited for Sunday roast today and I have to say it’s one of the best (if not the best!) roasts we have ever had. Lovely large portions and all homemade. The turkey and the beef were beautifully cooked. Kudos to the new Manager there Zoe. The whole team there are super friendly and the chef came out to say hello. Please do support this pub. They are working hard to give people a real experience of how a village pub can be. The food is amazing value for money (wish I had taken photos) ?

Had a few drinks and then bought the fish and chips takeaway to eat at home. Just £10 per portion so excellent value plus it was absolutely lush. Great food and good size portions. We were advised to buy extra chips as you apparently didn’t get many but my portion was fine and my wife couldn’t eat all hers. Zoe and Chloe are doing wonders at the Railway compared to the last tenants who didn’t have a clue. Let’s all support them and this gem of a pub in our village. Zoe, you’re doing everything right to turn things around. Go girl!!

Food and service were amazing. The ladies behind the bar were both super friendly and very accommodating. The food arrived without delay and everyone cleaned their plate. The best chips I’ve had in a very long time. Great curry sauce and freshly cooked fish. Cracking pint of san Miguel to wash it down with. Good luck to you guys. Can’t wait to see what you have planned for 2024.

We live in Shenstone village and we are lucky to have choices if we eat out. Trying The Railway for the first time in years didn’t disappoint, and it is so warm and friendly! Whilst the pub has not been under the new proprietors for long, and they are still finding their feet, our Sunday roast turkey dinner was absolutely faultless - and loads of it, with plenty of veg and trimmings. We understand that the menu is being extended in the coming weeks / months, so if that’s anything to go by, you can’t go far wrong here! If you’re looking for excellent home cooked food, then this is right up there with the best! As a massive fan of a good pint too, I can recommend the Wainwrights - spot on! Lastly, value for money - big portions, reasonably priced and such friendly staff. We loved it and will be back soon!
