Visited our Daughter & Grandson and their partner’s for an overnight stay. Went in after being turned away from one pub because we had our dog with us. Went here and what a find. Dog friendly and even better cask ales.A very friendly pub. Great selection of beers. Will be definitely going back next time we stay over in Stafford?

Excellent range of real ales (8 when I attended) in a nicely decorated environment. Definitely one for CAMRA fans.

Friendly staff, has pies, scotch eggs, crisps, nuts and all the snacks you expect at a pub. Wide range of beers and ales that can change weekly. Just opened after renovation and went to the pub quiz night, which I've been going to for a long time years ago. Dual bar and lounge, so you can decide where you want to sit. Smoking area in the middle of the pub courtyard.Parking: You can park in a nearby road, but be sure to look at any restrictions signage. There is a council run carpark opposite the prison about 1 minute walk away, if necessary.

A good pub a short walk from centre of Stafford. A very good selection of ale and cider including a strangely coloured ale ( ask behind the bar) friendly and chatty locals and bar staff. Worth the little walk from town. Recommend. ? ?

Can't fault this place, it's just a good 'boozer'!' Always pop in after a lodge meeting, or on our way into town. Good selection of ales including guest ales, and always had a great and friendly service.

Traditional pub on the edge of Stafford town centre. The cask ale list is displayed on a blackboard behind the bar (Order by number).
