Drove 25 minutes to this place and can honestly say the food was Phenomenal,staff was friendly and was great service,Food was bursting with flavour,I had a lamb Pattie and the pastry melted like butter
The jerk chicken loaded fries were incredible full of flavour
the coleslaw was fresh and the chicken strips were next level
I had there home made drinks aswell(pineapple ting) (Grape Ting) (Pink GrapeFruit Ting) they were all fire full of flavour not to sweet

This is a great pub that really delivered-The food was excellent- well presented, full of flavour, served with generous portions. Everyone said how much they enjoyed their meal. The pub has some interesting pieces of decor that adds to it character which created a nice warm and inviting setting.
Its also a dog friendly pub, which is great if you want to bring your dog along.
Not loads of parking but enough.
Would recommend and would visit again.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the Bengal Lounge while celebrating my wife’s birthday.

From the moment we arrived, the staff provided excellent customer service they were friendly, attentive, and especially patient with my indecisive children, which made the meal stress-free and enjoyable.

The food was outstanding, great taste, generous portions, and beautifully presented dishes that showed real care in preparation. Everything we ordered exceeded expectations.

This Bengal Lounge made our celebration feel special, and we’ll definitely be returning.

We booked in for a 3 course Sunday lunch. The room we were put in was rather draftee and cold due to an outside door being used (and not always closed after use) so we needed to keep our coats on for most of the meal, our waitress was I felt in need of training and the service was very slow, the starter and main were very good but sadly the desert was a let down, we both ordered the cheese board which eventually arrived on one plate with less cheese than I would put on a mice trap, after complaining we were given some more cheese but still I felt it was a rather measly portion, The Restaurant has a very good history of fine dinning but this was not up to that standard.

Restaurant looks pretty run down inside. Tables felt sticky. It was quite loud but it was expected as the grand national was on. Service was quick. Steak was a bit over cooked, admittedly we didn't complain because it was still edible, just not cooked how we asked. We don't live near and just happened to be driving by, so we probably won't be going back.

Great to have this place as a pub. Great too that Ed is running it; he's a great landlord. Didn't stay for any food although I believe that may be available. It's a pub, not a restaurant so expect a vibrant pub atmosphere, decent beer selection and decent locals. No steak knives on view. Sports on TV. 3 dart boards. Pool room. Snug. Large outside smoking area with additional covered seating area for the rainy British summer.

I’ve tried numerous chip shops around the Stafford area and I must say this place is absolutely amazing. I ordered a large fish and chips and the meal was beautiful. Fish cooked fresh, white and flakey with minimal batter and the chips too. It’s not the cheapest chip shop, but you pay for what you get and that’s fresh tasting food and the staff in there are very pleasant too. Highly recommended 10/10 ??

We really, really love this place. My two little ones absolutely adore coming here and I think would spend all day every day here if they could.

The only thing I would love to see is the guinea pigs and rabbits with a little more enrichment in their shed. Some hay racks, tunnels, wooden chew toys etc. that sort of thing.

It’s not a negative at all as we truly love this place. You can tell the animals are all very cared for and looked after - I just think the guinea pigs and rabbits shed needs a little more! ☺️

It was a beautiful experience. The ambience is amazing! Food is great. Each and every staff is so polite and kind. This place is a must go and a highly recommended one. The price was very reasonable. Even the quality and quantity of food was fantastic.

We visited yesterday as we were passing we popped in for a drink. Sat outside so the kids could play great addition! The food smelt amazing so we ended up ordering a mixed grill and wow it did not disappoint. The best fish Pakoras we have ever had and the sauces were homemade. Dee and Terry are always a delight to talk to on every visit, they hold themselves and their team to such impeccable standards and ensures everything moves so smoothly for every event. Beckie came in 2 hours early to help with some balloon modelling at my kids birthday party which I could not be more grateful for. Great value deals that can feed 4 people for £5.50 each, pizzas have enough cheese and toppings, would be great if there was more BBQ sauce on the base but that's only a small critique, pizzas taste amazing, arriving piping hot, well cooked, BBQ chicken wings are q big portion with plenty of meat. Delivery driver is friendly with a fast and efficient delivery.Will definitely be ordering again.

This place is an absolute gem. They do street food or traditional curry, big fan of the loaded naan breads with chips and the curries are great too. Often get a side for lunch then next day. Friendly staff and the chefs are on point. There's some lovely places to eat out in Stafford but there takeaways don't match up to Sylheti!!

Bank holiday Friday evening and the pub is full of locals, enjoying the start of a 4 day real ale fest.

16 real ales in the beer garden, which I can recommend Oakham Green Devil 6% at only £5.

Refurbished by brewery Black Country Ales five years ago, this pub is a real asset to the Penkridge community.
