Fantastic beer, great food, lovely staff and very friendly and happy owners Mark and Becci. Proper pub that shows sports and has live music as well. Highly

Was going to eat but as we had a dog we had to sit in the tap room part which didn't look as nice. There was a football game on which people were watching and we didn't feel comfortable eating in this side. Good location though.

Spent two nights as visiting family. Our normal place was full. The pub is great and so is the food and service. The room was compact, to say the least. Next to the main railway line, it shook as high speed trains thundered past. The shower room is lacking in a few aspects, and the shower was a real conundrum. The room is way overpriced for its quality and situation.Would highly recommend the pub, but avoid the rooms.Rooms: Avoid.

Lovely little traditional pub serving craft ales, good atmosphere and friendly staff, not tried the food here but will definitely try some in the future, well worth a visit

Noisy games night. But normally very accomodating.

The beer is good and the bar staff friendly and quick. Nice food also. Top tip. Go on a Thursday eve for poker night.

Lovely small local pub, indoor seating in the bar can be limited during peak times. Friendly and accommodating staff. Drink prices are slightly high but it is justified by the comfortable environment and cleanliness of the establishment.

Poor. No steaks. No lamb. No prawns. Fish burnt on one side as was the very small piece of gammon. Salmon was miniscule and overdone. Potatoes were dry and broccoli was raw and cold. To top it all one of our group had to wait 30 minutes because they had forgotten to do his meal. The sausages were alright apparently. One person asked for chips with the lasagne and the chips weren't cooked. Older member of the staff appeared indifferent. Never again.

Food is really good but the service could be a lot better. Waiting an hour for dessert was a first for meFood & drinks: Really good food
