Staff seemed really happy and talkative at the bar. The food looked and smelled excellent. Unfortunately, after being shown to our table and ignored for over 40 mins, watching all these great dishes coming and going around us was very frustrating. We paid for our drinks and left for a curry in town, receiving great attention and prompt food service. Also they apparently don't service none alcoholic beer either.

Never been here before but heard it had some good reviews so thought I'd try it out. It's more of a local pub for drinks than food as the food area is quite small but the food was very good and would definitely return again soon. Best steak I have ever had in Stafford!

Bit of a wait on the food, but service and the food was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to use again. Big portions , and fairly priced. Drink prices are what you'd expect these days. The black pudding, haggis combination was good too ! Had the small mixed grill, and chicken strips to start.

Very slow service and the door was opened so often by smokers we put our coats back on and others moved seats. Good steak but won't go back.

Went at Sunday lunchtime. Food was fine, but service was very slow. Took over 2 hours for mains and a few desserts. We had to keep going to the bar to get attention from the waiting staff, otherwise we'd have been there even longer.

Shambolic!We arrived at 1930 for our table. on sitting down we waited to order our drinks, but then waited 45 minutes to order our meal; on ordering they didn't have my first or second choice or my wife's! This was our time to leave; I raised the issue with the owner who explained that they were 'phasing' out dishes ready for new options in a week's time, this could have been messaged on arrival!!I'm a professional Chef and have been for 30 years so know how a kitchen should run, so this isn't an ill informed review.

The Tap managed a buffet for an event & the food was absolutely lovely. Chicken wings, tayters, sandwiches & chille, all very tasty. The staff were all really nice too! I'd definitely eat there again ?
Better than I expected. The food was very good, service was as expected, it was fairly quiet on a Saturday midday. I would definitely use it again.

Abii and the team provided a wonderful service, as always! The food never fails to impress, came out so quick too! Beautifully cooked steak and a wide range of sides to choose from. A nice place, the food is good, albeit a bit expensive for what it is , hence the four star "only' . It was not too busy on the night we went . Meal was served promptly and the staff who looked after our table very nice .

Our host Grace welcomed us with a lovely smile. Grace showed us to our table and suggested our starters which tasted delicious. My steak a ribeye was cooked perfect. Highly recommend this for a great steak.
