Me and my friend stayed here for one night with the spa package. We had a 3 course dinner, breakfast and a 3 course lunch. Cons: Our room looked like it hadn't been hoovered as there were crumbs and a crisp by the bed! The pillows in the room were very lumpy. The cutlery and glasses were dirty, I scraped something off that was stuck on my spoon. The waitress we had at dinner wasn't great as she was quite pushy when offering a side (supplement charge). For breakfast we weren't given a teaspoon to stir our tea. Pros: Room very stylish with decor, lovely size and bathroom lovely too. The room had lots of amenities Loved the eco friendly toiletries. The bed was super comfortable. Staff very friendly! Overall great stay would recommend!

Hoar Cross is absolutely amazing, not least because the staff make you feel so special - many thanks to our gorgeous waitresses, Millie (for dinner), and Charlie and Cem (for lunch). xxx

Here now and don’t want to leave tomorrow. This place is amazing and the staff are outstanding. Just had a wonderful massage at the brilliant spa. Food is top notch, the room is very comfortable. The gardens are immaculate. Can’t wait to come back

As always top drawer, HCH is fabulous. The facilities are excellent, the staff lovely & helpful & the food is delicious! We've been here a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed it every time! We don't bother with a treatment, why when the facilities are so good by themselves! Have tried a couple of other day spas but keep coming back to HCH. Def recommend

I am very disappointed with this experience. On New Years Eve, the room was full of couples and families having Afternoon Tea. We sat in the middle and watched everyone else get served. After 15 mins, we asked where ours was, and when it eventually arrived, the bread and scones were stale.

Just returned from an overnight stay and spa day with my husband for my 40th birthday. What an amazing place this is. From the second we got there till the moment we left the staff were brilliant. The room we had was amazing, so was the food, some of the best food we've ever had in a stunning setting! Can't fault anything about this place. It's an extremely well oiled machined with a real emphasis on excelled customer service, they really do go above and beyond for everyone. Had a lava shell massage on day 2 which was heaven! The spa itself was beautiful and so well thought out. First time visitors but we'll definitely be back...soon!

Stayed here at this beautiful hotel with my 3 daughters to celebrate a special birthday. We arrived and all 4 of the disabled spots were full so had to be dropped off whilst they parked a fair walk away. The hotel is stunning, beautiful rooms which were of ample size. Only baths with overhead shower which is difficult to climb in a bath when you have mobility problems. Beds were comfortable but I'm afraid the pillows were not and far too hard. Plenty of tea/ coffee in the room. The food was amazing very Al a carte and beautifully presented and very tasty. Bedrooms were quiet at night no noise in the corridors. Problem at breakfast this morning and not enough staff to clear tables for new people to sit down and eat so people were being asked to wait some time before going in for breakfast. A lovely stay for us all and although certainly not cheap is worth the cost.

Wonderful from start to finish, I’ve been a regular at Hoar Cross for over 20 years but can honestly say this was the best stay ever. Right from the off we had booked lunch in Henry’s with was excellent and very good Value, we were then checking in at reception by the lovely Lindsay who looked after us throughout our stay. The hall has been brought up to date with luxury touches and it obvious to see where the investment has been spent, rooms were excellent spacious and luxurious with little touches such as the toiletries and the luxury coffee machines. Tom and Dan from the waiting staff were amazing explaining menus and recommended wines to accompany our meal. A big thank you also the the behind the scenes staff such as the chefs who prepared our delicious meals with were very tasty and beautifully presented. Lastly thank you to Neelam my therapists who carried out my treatment we had the frangipani body scrub and facial which was amazing and very relaxing can’t wait to come back again xx

The hotel receptionist was very friendly and we were checked in quickly. The suite we were placed in was clean and well laid out. Dinner was an incredible experience with excellent service. This is by no means a budget stay….the reason I have given this fabulous hotel four stars ( would be 4 and a half) is because there were certain ‘hidden extra’ supplements on some items such as vegetables to accompany the dinner. £4 for spring greens I thought was a rather excessive and unnecessary additional cost for example considering the price of an overnight stay. It is understandable that certain more exotic choices may carry a supplement - this should be expected however not basic vegetables in my opinion. The library is a must visit for book lovers - it contains the mirror that inspired Alice Through the Looking Glass and two hidden doors. The spa was great. Top tip for over night visitors - particularly on a busy weekend, would be to get up early before breakfast and make use of the facilities. My husband and I had a good half an hour to use the salt water pool on our own before other guests made an appearance. The cold plunge pool was a fantastic way to wake up. The snooze room was also a wonderful addition. Thank you to all the staff who universally made us feel welcome. We are looking forward to returning.

Absolutely love this place! I visited over 24 years ago and went with an open mind considering the spa had been extended since my original visit. Hoar Cross Hall did not disappoint it’s only gotten better ! Greeted with genuine smiles and welcome drinks on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble by any of the staff. Was able to use the spa facilities as we arrived a little early. Room was a little late in getting ready but not a big deal as there’s plenty to do whilst you wait. When we did get access to our room - WOW! Thank you for such an amazing room! We hit lucky with the weather so was able to enjoy the sun in the lovely gardens. There were plenty of sun loungers and tables and chairs. Didn’t have any trouble around the pool areas, plenty of loungers available. All meals were delicious and the drinks menu is reasonable considering the calibre of hotel. Spa facilities and treatments were just a pure treat! So relaxing! The only downside to our visit was we only booked one night. We will definitely be coming back for another visit for longer . Thanks to Ellie and Libby on reception and all the amazing staff that make you feel relaxed and well catered for. Keep doing what you are doing and look forward to coming back ASAP.
