Not been here for a while, Relaxed and comfortable, served by Kellie, very good table service, met all our requirements, food good, nice and hot, will defo go back very enjoyable!

Absolutely lovely food. Went where with 6 of us and it was lovely. Only downside is say is the tables at a bit cramped when there a few of you. Will return 100%.

Ramblers Retreat

Lovely quiet place close to Alton Towers. Off the beaten track somewhat, but worth it for the food and cake! I sampled the all-day breakfast when I went last, which was lovely, but would just have added another sausage. I thought 1 sausage was a bit measly, especially when you consider the price. Nonetheless, it's still a nice place to go if you want to get away from it all and sit outside with nature.

Miso

Just had a lovely walk-in experience at Miso. We are local to the area and have wanted to come here for ages - it did not disappoint! We ordered the salt and pepper squid and octopus balls (Takoyaki) for starters. These were delicious and delightfully presented. For mains, I tried the “Japanese fried chicken” (Karaage) bento box, and my partner had roast duck ramen. Both were exceptional. On the quality of the food alone, we’d be back!

However - special mention to our fantastic, attentive and sweet host. Incredibly friendly and really made our evening. Excellent service.

Overall, our meal for 2 with 4 beers came to £60 - and we are stuffed! And that was with a bubble tea for my girlfriend too. We’ll definitely be back!

Hate to recommend Roberto's really, as I don't want other people to know about it. 2nd visit again the food was excellent. Amazing staff, so friendly. If you are in stoke pay this place visit. If you are going pre-theatre, book, or you won't get in.

Mantra Indian Restaurant And Bar

We went to Mantra for a late lunch and had a great experience. We ordered saag aalu, kadhayi paneer, chana masala with garlic naan and vegetable biryani. We found the food very delicious and couldn't stop eating even when we were full! ? We ended up coming back in a few hours to pickup some more for dinner.

Alessi Indian Restaurant & Bar

Had a takeaway Lamb curry with garlic nan. Sauce was medium heat and rich. Lamb was lean and tender. A friend of mine, never having been to the restaurant, tried it and has booked in for a meal. Never let down.

Myself, my partner and daughter have just been here for a Sunday carvery. We didn’t book a table and they were fully booked so we sat in the bar area. Whilst we were waiting in the queue for the carvery there were a few customers complaining about the mash potato running out which the man serving the carvery told me there was a problem with the steamer and is trying his best but still people were complaining. We were happy to go without but it did come out within minutes anyway so wasn’t a real issue at all. We loved the food and was very good value for money with or without mashed potato

The Star at Cotton

A lovely pub and restaurant just a few minutes from Alton Towers, booking is a must. The inside is cosy and the menu is vast. They provide a large gluten free menu - I'm a coeliac and ate here with no concerns. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful, she double checked our food and brought the gluten free dishes out separately. Will definitely be visiting again next time we visit the area. Photos are of the gluten free food we ate: coconut, sweet potato and chilli soup with bread (starter), chicken, bacon and leek pie, hot honey chicken tenders (starter) and the star burger.

My wife and I enjoyed a really nice Tuesday Steak Experience at Ego Stockton Brook. Apart from the food which was top notch (the sirloin was cooked to perfection) we were looked after extremely well by Charlotte who was friendly, attentive and who was able to give us just enough time to make our evening special. At the end of the meal I was pleased to tell her that she would make a wonderful daughter!

I had a great experience at Sagir Express. The all-you-can-eat Asian buffet had a fantastic variety of authentic dishes and full of flavor. The service was friendly, and the price was reasonable for the amount and quality of food. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Immediately made to feel very welcome. Wonderfully clean and well presented family run cafe. Super menu selection and well priced. Very good quality food and drink. Nice warm ‘local’ atmosphere with prompt and friendly service from the hard working owners. Throughly recommend especially the omelettes ! Me and my friend stayed here for one night with the spa package. We had a 3 course dinner, breakfast and a 3 course lunch. Cons: Our room looked like it hadn't been hoovered as there were crumbs and a crisp by the bed! The pillows in the room were very lumpy. The cutlery and glasses were dirty, I scraped something off that was stuck on my spoon. The waitress we had at dinner wasn't great as she was quite pushy when offering a side (supplement charge). For breakfast we weren't given a teaspoon to stir our tea. Pros: Room very stylish with decor, lovely size and bathroom lovely too. The room had lots of amenities Loved the eco friendly toiletries. The bed was super comfortable. Staff very friendly! Overall great stay would recommend!

I'm just enjoying a nice day in Stoke on trent and stumbled over this gem of a pub. A lovely atmosphere here, good choice of beers and spirits. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Any person visiting Stoke to give it a go. Just a short walk from the train station. A good old-fashion pub. Give a go if you don't like go to another pub.

Parking: Parking is through the arch next to the pub minimal space but if not too busy easy to park.

Four of us travelled up to visit Proctor's Nursery which is just down the road and initially wanted a coffee after over an hours drive up from our homes.

The pub had just opened for lunch and the menu looked interesting on what was a cold day so we decided to eat here. What a great choice! All meals home cooked and really tasty. Real value for money and pleasant surroundings. The chap behind the bar who served us was really helpful and looked after us without being intrusive.

There was certainly nothing left of the three steak pies and scampi that we had. Really enjoyable, tea and coffee good as well.

Will seriously look to visit here again on our next visit to Proctor's. Big thank you to the cook and the man in the bar.

This is an authentic Chinese take-away / fish and chip shop. They have been there for decades and it hasn’t changed. The food is always done to an excellent standard and is not as expensive as many.

Brilliant place right near my house so I can go there within 3 mins the portion size and heat of the food is so good so overall I would recommend as it’s always clean the workers are nice and the food is brilliant

KFC Fenton - King Street

It was Father's Day today, and it was my first time returning to KFC. It was amazing. The staff provided amazing service, and the food was much better prepared than I had expected. Service was quick, and Roland (the guy with the yellow hat) was amazing. He was willing to help anyone and made me feel better, so I wanted type of in my chicken. It was delicious and healing. I will definitely be returning because the food was prepared to perfection. Roland is a pleasant person to talk to, so hopefully I see him again.

I was a regular customer and also worked there for a short period of time. I have to say, the staff is good. Not everything is perfect, but they work hard for your food. Fast food, but I love it; BK is the best so far, in my opinion. This place has improved a lot since I visited it for the first time.
The only bad thing is that I worked there in the winter  just weeks before my wedding, and we were all always sick, so as I did not want to take any risk of being sick at my wedding, I resigned. Otherwise,  I loved to work there, and I still could work there, I think. The timing was bad, unfortunately. I wish the best to the workers there. It's a cool place to work and/or eat.

Only visited the Drive Thru whilst passing through this area. We found the drive thru to be fast, efficient and very friendly staff! Well done to friendly staff working the drive thru around 1:30pm Saturday 6th April. Food was nice and hot too.

KFC Stoke on Trent - Meir

The lady who served us was very friendly and efficient. The food was as to be expected from a KFC, but it's not often we find a KFC where your order is 100% accurate. The lady who served us here was accurate and greeted us with a smile and a positive attitude. We are quite pleased and will use this branch as our preference in the future.

Food served hot and to spec. Was pleasantly surprised by the seasoning on the chips. Food prep time was under 3 minutes.

FOH was tidy and plenty of kiosks to order from.
Condiments stand seemed a little unorganised with the napkin dispenser on its side but was clean.

Can't believe the number of scathing reviews but maybe I am lucky. Been to pick up a takeaway order in person on about 9 occasions while I've been staying with a friend a few mins walk away and the only inconvenience has been when the shakes were unavailable. The food has always been up to scratch and the order correct; I ask for my burger without cheese and they never overlook that like I've experienced at some branches before. A lot of reviews, granted, are based on JustEat/UberEats experiences and I ruled those out since we're so close by and being close by doesn't rule out driver-based errors! We're happy.

Friendly staff who were very helpful. Yet very limited selection of drinks so no child friendly drinks available and then there was also no straws either. Bins were all full and tables were dirty. Felt like the place hadn't been cleaned properly and we were at the restaurant at lunchtime.No parking nearby so available to walk from local car parks. Feels like the store needs a bit of TLC.There was a toilet available.Sandwiches were OK!

Flaming Grill

Great good, great staff, clean and professional environment. I had a large mixed kebab on naan bread with salad and chilli sauce w/sweetcorn relish. Very tasty and the chicken kebab was juicy and tasty. I highly recommend this kebab house. I also tried the donner meat and lamb kebab meat and both were absolutely delicious and hot when served. The staff and talkative and friendly and served me my food only 10 minutes after I ordered in store. Large mixed kebab on naan was £9.50 and the large chicken kebab on naan was £8.10

Pricing is pretty reasonable given the quality of the ingredients and the size of the portion. I highly recommend Flaming Grill Kebebs. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Parking: I parked on the road directly opposite the takeaway. The kerb was too high for me to park directly outside the takeaway.

Been using these guys for a while friendly helpful staff on the phone , delivery drivers are lovely and the price isn't bad for the food you get I don't understand the low ratings we had the curry deal for 2 last night, me and my friend and it was great value for 19.99 only problem to be honest was the onion bhaji was abit greasy but I think thats because they were in with the chicken tikka starter so maybe it was off the chicken and mixed veg but like I say every order we've had it's been spot on and considering it was Saturday night it arrived in under half an hour and it was hot and delicious.See you again soon guysLove respect and all the best from Chris at 84 in Fenton ?.

This pub on the Staffordshire University campus has a cool, student vibe. The atmosphere is great, mostly filled with young people and students. They’ve got some decent food and snacks to go with your drinks, plus fun stuff like a pool table. The staff are super friendly and nice. Overall, it’s a solid spot to hang out. Definitely recommend!

Yew Tree Inn (Cauldon)

What an absolute treasure trove, a feast for the eyes. You have to go. The landlord Alan has been collecting antiques and collectibles for 63 years. Including a 3000 year old Egyptian jug and a pair of stocking, which once belonged to queen Victoria. A warm welcome and pastries are served at the bar. It's a must visit.

The Market Tavern

Visited yesterday just for a quick one, it's unusual for me not to be driving so thought we'd make the most of it.
11:30ish (am) but quite busy, proper old school boozer.
Served quickly and found a quiet spot to sit and take in our surroundings.
There's definitely a core of hardened regulars, laughing joking and sharing.

One lady left her purse in the disabled toilets and one of the regulars who want in as she came out called her back to get it.

Not bad prices on the drinks and people were taking their own food in (as I've seen in some of the old school boozers I regularly frequent.)

Somewhere I'd not hesitate to visit again if in the area and not driving but not somewhere I'd make a special effort to visit.

They got the best Afghan food ,very authentic ,just the restaurant could be improved a little ,it looks rusty and not nice ..but the food is so so delicious ,my favorite

We had a lovely meal thank you. Our table was waiting just as I requested on the booking system, quieter and easy access for elderly parents in law. The waitress Lilley-Mai was very polite, attentive and smiley. Bar staff were professional and quick to serve. The manager was very supportive in explaining how to sign up for future offers. Had a fish, chips, peas & curry sauce take away while staying on the nearby caravan site.
Gorgeous fish with crispy batter, lots of chips, proper mushy peas & very tasty curry sauce. Staff were friendly.
Will definitely use again when staying in the area.

Great breakfast, friendly staff, sometimes a bit of a wait as it gets busy but well worth it and if its busy they're obviously doing it right. Cheap for how good the food is, some places charge double for half the quality. Best in burslem!

Parking: Parking just up the road. Around £1.20 for an hour and a half.

Chatterley Whitfield

This place is really popular, I recommend making a reservation if you plan to eat here in an evening as it has been very busy every time we've been.

The venue has recently been refurbished and you can tell.

The table was ever so slightly sticky and peas were slightly overcooked but this is a massive improvement on previous visits.

We were very impressed with the new robot member of staff, I hope she plans to stick around.

Nice to see the pub buzzing again, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and a lot of new faces, can't wait for the sun to get in the beer garden again. Nice to see Laura and Adeles hard work being rewarded.

2022 - Plough Inn Bignall End

Really lovely! The pub looks great, super pleasant staff and the Indian food was beautiful. We couldn’t believe 3 drinks and 3 curries with a side of rice each came to only £35! Bargain!! Can’t wait to come back.

Lakeside Café

Half way around Trentham garden lake, you find the Lakeside cafe and what a lovely cafe.Teddy bear , Maple ? and Tilly ? the Corgi's just love the Lakeside cafe for a stop for a bacon ????? roll.The coffee ????? good here to nice and hot, we have oat milk and milk for are coffee vegan coffee a must ☕☕☕☕☕.You can outside or inside dogs are welcomed.

The Black Lion

Recently came here and had the large sunday dinner.
You get a generous plateful of food.
The meat portion was particularly good and my beef and turkey was lean and tender. You get a double portion of meat with a Large roast dinner and half that on a Regular sized dinner.
Yorkie tasted Good.
Veg was good but the one thing missing were roasties and they are NOT on the menu. Goodness knows why? Big mistake.
Instead there were boiled new potatoes.
Gravy tasted nice.
My partner who is vegetarian had the chickpea curry. Big mistake as she said it tasted very poor. This meal was probably frozen and microwaved and totally over-priced for what you get!!!!
The roast dinners, however, are pretty Good!!

Old Market Tavern

Really nice location in Altrincham’s historic market centre (now slightly ruined by the main road). Good ales at good prices and a cracking jukebox box setup. Just needs a bit of love and excitement to draw punters away from the usual market, etc
