Lovely little place next to the canal, staff are very welcoming and friendly who go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. My kids love coming here as well and that is a bonus. The quiz nights are a laugh and just love the nights with live music.
The Gate is our local pub and is lovely to walk to down the canal with the dog! Great staff, food, drinks and atmosphere. Plenty on with live music and quiz nights! Great pub and our dog loves it too!

We visited the gate and had a fantastic eveining . We found the new landlady to be totally lovely and friendly. The staff were warm and friendly and made us feel welcome . Ordered food which was there in no time at all and was hot and beautifully presented and tasted amazing . The setting by the canal is fantastic and watched the staff who keep this spotless . Totally recommend this pub for food or drinks or to just relax and watch the boats pass . Well done to all concerned.
