Been here many times,good to sit outside in summer watching the world go by.. Close to shops. fair price for drinks. There are really nice staff behind the bar, especially on Saturday 6th January. 5pm onwards. Always smiling.

I came across this gem of an establishment by accident and I am so glad I did. Louise and Nigel (landlady and landlord) were both welcoming and accommodating. Ryan who was on bar duty was absolutely tremendous. There are a wide choice of lagers and ales available. I had the Guinness which was superb. There is a jukebox in the bar which is frequently used but not overpowering. There is a pool table in the smaller room and sports on TV. The pub is dog and family friendly with a really relaxed atmosphere and the banter from the locals is nothing short of hilarious. Thank you Louise,Nigel, Ryan et al for a fantastic afternoon. A lad for Manchester and came in for the first time and all I can say is what a warm welcome from Dennis. I must say one of the best pubs in uttoxeter.
