I dont know about the food. Never eaten there. Go there to drink. The pub is very old which makes it a great atmosphere for relaxing in. There's a lot of character in the pub and also in some of the people that drink there. Why not try a game of bar skittles? Never heard of it? Maybe you should pop down to have a go! Dog friendly. Any trouble and your asked to leave. No tolerance to bad behaviour.

Brilliant little find, great ales, fantastic atmosphere, a real old pub feel. Was in last on a Thursday night and it was buzzing,even had bar skittles on in the back room.
