Had friends come to visit today with Paddy (the gorgeous greyhound) so we visited the Acton crown ,we recieved a friendly greeting and all staff were happy to be there (the lunch for absolutely spot on as were the afters (yummy ) there is adequate parking in the car park or if busy a very large car park round the back ,they have a beautiful garden at the rear of the public house which I have no doubt will be lovely to sit in when weather is better ,if you haven't been it's well worth a visit ,10 out of 10 ,Michelle ,liz and Cathy ??

Moved into the area recently and this pub is literally a 8 minute walk for us so we have gone twice so far and both times have been pleasant. Reasonably priced drinks, lovely members of staff and a friendly atmosphere. I cannot judge on the food yet as unfortunately both times we've gone the kitchen has not been open, but the menu looks lovely and we definitely want to eat there soon.

Most importantly I had so compliment the chef as I had the most beautifully cooked rib eye steak, I'm use caution usually when ordering a steak and order medium rare confident I'll get my much preferred medium stea k but I threw caution to the wind today and simply ordered medium. To my delight service was fast and that steak was cooked to perfection as was everything on that plate. Definitely will be returning soon

After a poor customer service experience elsewhere, we chanced upon The Crown. Made to feel welcome by the lady at the bar the moment we stepped in, the food was incredible - Cajun chicken as good as we’ve ever had - and the customer service from the bar and restaurant was 11/10. We’ll be back regularly.

Having eaten at the Crown several times and always well satisfied unfortunately my latest visit was a disappointment, the welcome was good but then felt rushed to order, food was very good as usual however no sooner finished main meal than orders were needed for pudding which we realised was due to the fact that kitchen staff were wanting to go home, (at no time were we told that the kitchen closed at 8pm) as soon as these were served the staff walked out with their coats?Such a shame as always thought how relaxing it was to eat in this restaurantWheelchair accessibility: This is really good ??

I was with my motorcycle club, and this was our booked lunch stop, I Didn't order a meal, as I was dining at home later, but I did order a blt, and a bowl of chips, what I didn't realise was that the blt came with a salad and dipping crisps, I was stuffed, the meal was delicious. Thanks to the very attentive staff, all meals were cleared, with empty plates, we will definitely be back. ?

This is a straightforward very good pub. Food is excellent value with a really wide choice. We ate here both evenings we were staying nearby and it was serving (no food Monday, all other evenings to our knowledge food available). The fact it was popular - without being overcrowded - shows its worth.

We had a great wedding party this weekend. The venue has loads of room for your event. The landlords are very helpful & get involved with the event. The interesting thing is catering can be organised but have a fish & chip van that visits the car park.

Welcome & friendly local pub. Staff are genuinely kind and very warm people. There's ample parking if you drive up the right hand side of the pub to the small carpark behind. The exterior is fresh and clean, with beautiful hanging baskets and good lighting. The furniture inside the pub is well laid out so tables aren't packed in and right on top of each other. There are a handful of tables out front and more in the beer garden. As a wheelchair user i can get round the pub easily. There is a disabled toilet with ramped access, bur you'll need your radar key for it. The only complaint I have is that often stuff is piled near it which has can make it tricky to access. There are further ladies and gents toilets that are clean bur somewhat dated.Menu is clear, and has something for everyone. The specials are great and their Thuraday night steak night is amazing value. Food is always hot on arrival and service is prompt. There's 1 pool table, 1 darts board and a couple of fruit machines which are ample for a pub of this size. Sporting events are shown live on a large screen TV and when the TV isn't showing an event its turned off in favour of music. Music is played at a level which is such that you can hear it in the background but don't need to yell over it to talk to your party. The bar provides a wide range of beers, ciders, wines and spirits. All the standard soft drinks are there and the bar small are well stocked.Prices for booze and food are pretty good for what you get too. If you are a believer in supporting local then the acton crown is definitely a great place to spend your money and show your support. Highly recommended!Vegetarian options: I'm a vegetarian, and there are a great range of veggie options.Kid-friendliness: I take my children often and they love it. There's a lovely children's menu and the staff are so welcoming and kind to them.Parking: There are a limited number of spaces out front plus a well sized car park. When facing facing crown from the road, you drive up the right hand side of the building. Veer right once past the pub and there are plenty of parking spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair users can enter the pub via flat access around the back though you do have to cross stones to access it which can be a challenge (I'm a wheelchair user so aware of how much of a pain that can be). If you are semi-ambulent then there us a small dtep outside the 2 front doors. The step does make things tougher, But it's a single small step that can he cleared sith a bit of a bump when you're in your wheelchair.Dietary restrictions: The kitchen are more than happy to adapt dishes per dietary requirements. You can either call ahead to discuss your needs or talk to staff when you order. They are highly accommodating.
