Everything went well and we were served by a lovely young lady from Aldeburgh (wish I knew her name)

Booked dining/stay offer. The hotel is in a perfect location. Warm comfortable rooms. Attentive staff, great breakfast and evening meal in the Brasserie. Dog friendly and a happy hour , perfect

Hotel prices but below average food and average service. Long waits even though half empty restaurant, TINY fish starter presented without lemon, no offer of bread or rolls, dry slice of bread with a soup, tiny open tart SMOTHERED in balsamic glaze so that was all I could taste! Frozen supermarket style chips!

We have stayed here many times but our most recent visit was the best. The Hotel is well positioned and money has beenwell spent on it.

Fantastic food. Wonderful staff. If you are local or visiting, you should try this restaurant. I am originally local but now live away. On a three day trip back, we went twice. Do try. ?

Very disappointing, fair value for money but roast beef very tough and riddled with sinuses making it very difficult to cut and chew

There's not much in the way of ambience here - flatly lit with large windows looking out onto winter darkness so not a place for an intimate dinner. Some of our menu choices were good but the fish and chips were a big disappointment: grey probably pre-frozen coley in a restaurant in a fishing village? The menu deliberately does not identify the fish... the chef needs to up his game in Aldeburgh.

Very tasty burger, albeit small portion sizes. Service was good, although due to it being busy we did have to wait a bit. Would return here again.

Returned to The White Lion for a Sunday lunch and it was as good as previously. Good choice of meals including a vegetarian nut roast. Good value, well prepared, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.

Absolutely brilliant roast dinner and a nice dining room with pleasant staff. We both really enjoyed our meal - and trying the brioche gelato (which was a new one on us, but which worked!). If we ever return to Aldeburgh, we would definitely return!

I always stay at the White Lion when I'm staying here for business. The burger probably has to be the nicest burger I've EVER had. It simply is delicious and cooked to perfection. The restaurant is lovely, a great selection of beers, Adnams Wild Wave is a must!!. Pity next door at Sea Spice isn't the same quality. Please open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

I would have preferred a more extensive menu but what I had - fish of the day - was excellent
