If you want to sit in an ice cold cafe and eat an over priced ice cold bacon sandwich...this is the place for you. Thought we'd give this place a second chance. Bad idea. They really need to get the basics right.

Had a great lunch here, myself meaty burger, the wife veggie burger, both Swiss mushroom versions. Everything hand made and very tasty. Great service and atmosphere. Will visit again when next here.Vegetarian options: All of their options can be either meat or veggie.

We are three vegans who went in for breakfast and I have to say it was lovely. Great vegan fritters served with our breakfast. Good service and lovely atmosphere.

Sat at one of the outside tables, waitress very pleasant and took our order. Lots of singing from her and who I assume was the chef. Drinks arrived promptly but after about 45 minutes no sign of food, Caesar salad and a Burger, so my partner popped inside to make sure we hadn’t been forgotten. The waitress was apologetic, my partner said it was fine as we hadn’t got anywhere to be and it was polite banter. A couple of minutes later the chef came out and started telling us off. He said that all the food and ingredients were freshly prepared (constantly repeated this) and that it was busy, approx 4 people sat inside, so could we be patient saying that we had upset the waitress and that it didn’t look good in front of other customers us chasing our food! Well the salad arrived and we waited and waited so I told my partner to start eating. After another 20 minutes my food arrived. My partner had already finished his food. We went in to pay and the chef was at it again telling a lady that it was cash only and couldn’t she read whilst stabbing his finger toward a sign on the open door. He then started on us again blathering on about his flipping ingredients. Well I couldn’t help myself and said if he stopped the incessant karaoke singing then he maybe able to prepare his fresh ingredients and actually serve two dishes at the same time.

Cosy little themed cafe. Food was nice and fresh and also dog friendly. Highly recommended for breakfast and a milkshake craving!

Amazing food, amazing staff. Visited with 2 children, one who suffers with gluten intolerance. Nothing was too much for the staff to deal with. Will definitely visit again next time we are on holiday there. Highly recommend ?

Were told rudely as a passing comment from the owner/proprietor (?) that our group of four would have no way of being seated before we'd even stepped through the door! Pretty shocking first impression. Ended up being happily accommodated at The Chocolate Teapot instead.

The cream soda float took me straight back to childhood, our son enjoyed a hotdog & cheesy chips and a Oreo milkshake. The place itself is small but has a friendly family atmosphere. The staff are lovely & we really enjoyed our visit.

Perfect pancakes (maple syrup ratio bang on, as per my wife lol) Friendly service and lovely food. Delphines is a step back in time whilst serving up excellent food. Door stop toast and good portions. Also pooch friendly. Worth walking to end of the high street for.

Google maps said this place was open 10-4 today so I went for it. At 10:30 the proprietor was taking chairs off the tables as if opening! I asked "are you open?" and he said "no, it says open weekends 10-4" (I paraphrase) and pointed to a sign on the door, which does indeed say "Open weekends 10-4". I then asked, "oh, not during the week then?" and he didn't look up and carried on cleaning tables, presumably in preparation for tomorrow morning's business! The sign itself may be accurate but does not necessarily imply that the café is not open at all during the week. I left frankly feeling deflated and slightly embarrassed after having been spoken to in such a patronising and rude way. It doesn't bode well for the dining experience for the few who turn up on the right day!

Lovely little place very retro service and food excellent. The music being played was a bit too loud for the size of the place which was why I did not give it 5 stars for atmosphere.

We found Delphine's on our way to the beach. It is a fantastic little island of kitsch 1950's Americana is what is otherwise a very lovely, but one note, high street (think Waitrose By The Sea). I had my very very food fussy 12 year old daughter, Paddy, a well behaved Labradoodle and my daughter's sugar loving friend with me. My daughter asked for a special order, (burger with plain bun, and chips, no relish, no salad) which the lovely man cooking and even lovelier waitress made it very clear was not a problem. When we arrived, there was only a two seater in the corner available, and, as there were three of us, I asked if we could move to a bigger table if one became available. That was also not a problem and as soon as a bigger table was free, they prioritised cleaning it up, and we moved. Some of the fresh ingredients needed for the milkshakes on the menu hadn't been delivered that morning, but we had that explained before we ordered. My daughter's friend ordered an Oreo Milkshake which was bigger than she was. She finished it. We all had different burgers and they were all absolutely delicious. When we go back to Aldeburgh, we will be heading there again!

Loved this American-style diner. Got here as it opened on Sunday morning - very lucky as this place filled up quickly! Loved the pancakes. Decent coffee.
