Great local pub easy access to Aldeburgh High Street and the beach. Don't be deceived by the outside. The "pub" menu is so worthwhile. The landlord is an amazing chef and food is tasty, generous portions, and best price in town. Good beer, Guiness is the best around. We tried the cocktails on offer with pretty low expectations, but they were proper cocktails not the syrupy weak drinks bars often serve. 2 beautiful gentle pub dogs and lively landlord.

Colin the landlord offered a really warm welcome. Couldn’t be more helpful!Lots of games (cards, connect 4, etc) available to play. Great jukebox, tv. Warm welcome…..the best was yet to come! Was absolutely blown away by the amazingly fresh, homemade, piping hot and large portion of food for dinner!Highly highly recommend for anyone looking for a homely, local feel with heart warming food!Dog friendly too!

Warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere, good selection of food and drink. We had two kids meals (burger and chicken nuggets) and two adults meals - both had pie of the day which was chicken, bacon and mushroom. WOW - all great portions, all well presented, all well cooked and most importantly, we all thought it was delicious. To cap it off, excellent value for money at a time when we’re all tightening our belts. Had a nice chat with the Manager before we left and then all collapsed from full stomachs when we got home. We’ll definitely be going back, just a shame it won’t be until the spring.

Stopped by this pub after running a marathon on a day all pubs/ shops are shut - I asked politely for a small glass of tap water but was told bluntly no. I explained I was very dehydrated as there was no where to find any water and so a small glass would be very appreciated. I was instead told that tap water and cleaning the glass costs them. Landlord was very rude - I’d recommend giving this place a miss.
