Pubs in Bungay

“First time visiting and won't be the last. My husband has been a couple of times and said how nice the pub was and the real ale. He liked it enough to get some to bring home, I bought chicken wings to bring home and wow, they are huge and very tasty. Definitely ”

“Excellent traditional pub with a micro brewery. Home brewed ale tastes fantastic and is excellent value for money. An outstanding traditional English pub which should be experienced by everyone”

“I had a great evening of drinks with my BroInLaw and his crazy farmer friends! One of the few pubs left in Bungay town.I usually judge a good pub based on how friendly the staff are, quality of the beer / ale, and the verity of bar snacks, this place has it all. I will be back!”

“We came for Sunday lunch and it was great. Really nice Roast Beed. Good portion sizes and food all tasted great. Our little one had the fish goujons and really enjoyed them too. Would definitely visit again if back in the area!”

“As far as reviews go, I generally don't bother writing them as I tend to either tell restaurants, pubs & pretty much anyone my opinion of the venue or person of vote by my feet & not bother returning, but on the odd occasion I feel I need to express my thoughts of certain places online & today is the turn of The Castle Inn/The Three Cooks! This bar & restaurant with a few rooms upstairs (which I've not had the pleasure in staying in... Yet) has to be the best place I've ever been to in Suffolk! They have an amazing team there with Amazing food & the waitresses/barmaids are absolutely amazing too! Kind, friendly smiles that instantly lifts your mood (unless you're a scrouge and set out to cause a scene!) then this is the place to come for a pleasurably dinning/drinking experience!Highy highly recommended to anyone & everyone! A definite must visit while in Bungay! If 10 stars was an option I'd easily give 20!Parking: Small amount of parking available opposite the beer garden unsure if its just for guests staying tho, some street parking available out the front of the building.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair access possible for either front or rear of the property.”

“An amazing hidden Gem that sits beside the Flixton Air Museum. We went to the Museum for a family day out, 5 adults (one in a wheelchair) and a toddler. We weren't sure what we would find on the menu and was slightly apprehensive as we had 2 with dairy allergies. What a wonderful experience all round. The staff are welcoming and very accommodating to your needs. We were seated quickly and a highchair was carried straight over so the toddler could get settled. The menu had plenty of choices for everyone's tastes and plenty of choices for vegetarian and vegan customers. The portion sizes were on the large side. The haddock and chips was spectacular in both size and taste. Paella was superb with plenty of king prawns and chorizo pieces. Scotch egg and sausage rolls on the ploughman's was amazing and you could tell it was all homemade. I had the open hummus sandwich with beetroot which again you could tell was all homemade and one of the best I have eaten. I also had a side of chips - one of the best pub chips I've had and I'm not really one to rave about chips!! Toilets were clean and had supplies for ladies and baby changing were available. I would recommend to anyone visiting the area! We will definitely be returning to this lovely country pub.”
