Went for a drink and ended up staying for food and listening to live music. The castle inn has the best Asian food in Norfolk / Suffolk.A Cambodian chef, making cracking currys and the best spring rolls out there.Huge vegetarian menu that wasn't your usual boring pub food.Amazing venue and not just that, the staff are the friendliest out there.Live music as well, very talented band and played great tracks.Great pub garden in the summer.Closed from Jan until Feb 14.Walkability: Very central and street parkingFood & drinks: Best Asian food out there. For green and red curriesTofu dishes as wellNice selection of drinks.

The staff member (I did not catch his name) was welcoming and friendly - but in a sincere way, it was not intense and trying too hard! FWe went for lunch and had a starter and main for £19 from the set menu - this was good value and tasted delicious. The spring rolls and cod goujons to start were excellent, as were the sausages and ribs for the main. The member of staff was busy, but still able to deliver a very good service. Often conversing with other customers as well. I would have left a tip, but we were in a rush the card machine did not prompt us to do so and we had no cash! I'm sorry about that, but we will definitely return and recommend you.

I went to the pub just to drink the fabulous natural orange juice. It’s not easy to find a place selling that.Everybody was really friendly. Thank you so much for your attention guys.

As far as reviews go, I generally don't bother writing them as I tend to either tell restaurants, pubs & pretty much anyone my opinion of the venue or person of vote with my feet & not bother returning, but on the odd occasion I feel I need to express my thoughts of certain places online & today is the turn of The Castle Inn/The Three Cooks! This bar & restaurant with a few rooms upstairs (which I've not had the pleasure in staying in... Yet) has to be the best place I've ever been to in Suffolk! They have an amazing team there with Amazing food & the waitresses/barmaids are absolutely amazing too! Kind, friendly smiles that instantly lifts your mood (unless you're a scrouge and set out to cause a scene!) then this is the place to come for a pleasurably dinning/drinking experience!Highy highly recommended to anyone & everyone! A definite must visit while in Bungay! If 10 stars was an option I'd easily give 20!Food & drinks: As I touched on in my main review and as seen in the pictures provided the food is absolutely phenomenal, to die for! I always over indulge here because I simply can't get enough! I will always pick this restaurant when asked about where is great food! Hands down 100%

Was really impressed with the rooms and the service. Beautiful setting. Delicious breakfast, plenty of choice. Clean and bright. Very friendly and homely. Thanks for taking care of us.Rooms: The rooms were bright, very clean and had all the necessary amenities, we made use of the fans as it was 29° and very warm. Was thrilled to find an iron and ironing board for use too.

Excellent pub with great beer, friendly service and delicious food (their chef seems to be able to knock out incredible food from his native Cambodia and a succulent-looking Sunday roast at the same time). We spent much longer here than we meant to!

We had lunch here today and have been once or twice before, great selection of drinks which the owner gave us a deal on - very appreciated. Great food too with a big selection from your classic pub lunches to Asain noodles/curries or a light sandwich/toastie.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights. Very friendly and helpful service, a cosy room with a view of the main street, an art gallery and artisan shops on the doorstep, great food for breakfast and dinner. Thanks Stuart and team for a perfect stay!
