Great lunch and great service all served with a smile by the lovely Staff. We really enjoyed our meals. Thank you to everyone at Assington Country kitchen for looking after us so well.

30+ of us booked in here for our Christmas Lunch. We had a wonderful meal, starters like Country Paté, prawns in Tempura Batter, Homemade soup etc. Mains were traditional turkey but also Pork, Salmon en Crute and more. They coped with a noisy crowd and all our meals were perfection. The shop part of this venue was stuffed with lovely Christmas gifts, gardening bits and unusual kitchen and cooking items. All in all, it's a bit of an Aladins cave!

Just a good place to stop for lunch, afternoon tea or whatever takes your fancy. Busy but had enough tables inside and out. Food nicely presented and sufficient quantity.

Good food, pleasant staff, nice shop to browse in, and as shown in the picture a little (needed) fun at the toilets

Nice place with good quality food ,but be prepared for long wait

Don’t mind paying £8 for a sandwich that’s large and comes with some added side salad or crisps. This is a rip off though for a takeaway Brie and bacon sarnie

Visited as a party of four friends/family for lunch. We ate outside as had my dog with us. Service was poor and unprofessional. Staff totally disinterested and unhelpful. Disliked paying for food and drinks at table at time of ordering. Bizarre system of bringing out each person's drink/food individually (waitress made four trips to table with one drink on a tray at a time???). Food was pleasant enough but extremely small portions and vastly overpriced for what was served.

We stopped off here during a cycle ride on a very hot Sunday afternoon. The staff were friendly and very chatty and interested in our ride.We didn't have to wait long to be served our food which was good and not expensive. We will definitely be dropping in again next time we are in the area.Recommended

Food was very nice quality but felt a little expensive for the amount you got

Nice rural spot for food. Gift shop and great log burner. Lovely outside in Summer.

We all had a tasty breakfast, but the 40 minute wait for our first drink was way to long considering it wasn't busy. Our group of 5 unfortunately won't be returning which is Shame as we have been stopping there for a few years.

The wood burning stove gives a warm impression when you walk into the restaurant but in reality it was on the chilly side when we got seated; it's a very large restaurant! The "ample breakfast" was lovely & well cooked. The staff were friendly & helpful. We enjoyed three hours there and gradually the place warmed up as lots of "Christmas Party dinners" turned up.
