Came here for lunch. Had to wait for only 5 minutes for a table to free up but walked round the antique shop in that time. Had the chefs own lasagna which was delicious and a huge portion. The chunky chips were perfection. The wait for food was minimal, the decor was beautiful and the history of the building us fascinating 100% recommend going there and although they accept card they prefer cash as they paid over £400 in fees for the card machine last year which was shocking to read ??

Always a warm welcome awaits here with an accommodating reception from Totty and the team. The perfect stop-off to incorporate in a Sunday walk ?Vegetarian options: Would recommend the Veggie Sunday lunch option - very nice.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible for wheelchairs and mobility impaired

Good service. Nice environment to eat although not been in the garden. Had garlic prawns for starters which were very tasty. Three of us had roast lamb which we all enjoyed but agreed that more meat would have been better as portion was small. Roast beef portion more generous. Desserts were a mixture of brownie and eton mess, both very enjoyable. I don’t quite understand poorly scored reviews, we had a nice meal with the only issue being portion size of the mains. Would definitely return ?

Food was ok, menu items were different to what was online. Great pork belly, best I’ve had. Sent both real ales back, neither tasted good

Nice old country pub, did have modern furniture, which was a shame. Staff very attentive and friendly. The food was generous and tasty especially the Seafood Platter which I would recommend. ?
This was a lovely pub, we did not visit on a normal day however as they were doing a special Summer weekend thing with music. everyone seemed to know everyone and i could see how nice it would be to have this place as your local

Stunning setting, used to go there years and years ago and I remember the food and live music were amazing. Just popped in recently for a drink and remembered how beautiful the garden was too.

The food is not cheap but what made it worse was they charged us vat on top, this was not displayed on there menu prices . Very cheeky . Could have done with more food too, the portions were very stingy . The food was very tasty just a shame on the stitch ups.
