We stopped for a meal here while passing through having seen online that they are wheelchair accessible and dog friendly. The staff were lovely and friendly, the food was great and it was very good value. We would definitely go back when in the area and highly recommend.

Disappointing Sunday roast. Had the trio of meats. Beef was not served pink and was very tough. Roast potatoes were bland and only just cooked and definitely neither crispy nor flavoured with rosemary and garlic. The vegetables were similarly disappointing, i couldn’t tell the carrots were maple or roasted and the parsnips were also bland and only just cooked. The Brussels sprouts were rock hard and inedible. There was plenty of gravy to help things along. My friends enjoyed their meals. One of them had roast vegetables that did look nicely roasted.I did let the server know at the end of the meal when she cleared my plate and she said she’d let the chef know, but there was no other acknowledgment, feedback or apology.

Just dropped in on the off chance as we came away from a quick shop. Dog friendly, staff friendly, warm and cosy. However, the best bit was the food. A good range to begin with and includes simple pub food alongside the more adventurous. Good amount of chips, and not stuck in some pointless cup and priced right. More of this please. To end the meal we had a coffee, and it was a decent one, in fact better than coffee shops of late.
