We enjoyed our short break, everything we required was supplied , we were pleased to be in the same Lodge as we did previously, our little Dog was comfortable as well and our Breakfast was fine as before. The location suited us as my Mother and Brother live in Barrow so we could spend more time with them.

Had dinner at this restaurant. I have written a private email to the manager but have received no reply so I’m resorting to social media. Our Bill was grossly wrong. We were overcharged for both one of the dishes and by over £2.10 for each medium glass of very ordinary white wine. Waitress said in a very offhand manner “that we can all make mistakes ”. ( It would have been embedded in the till!). DONT visit this restaurant if you want to feel you are being well treated and that they don’t have their hands in your wallet. The chef is excellent. Just a shame about the management

Reviewing the restaurant : - Teeny tiny portions, crazy London prices and tasteless offerings.Total rip off and quite honestly the very worst and most expensive meal out I've ever had.The service charge was, frankly, and insult.Your reply is a joke. First visit other, genuine gastro pubs who serve good food. Second look at your prices. Third, only charge for food you actually provide and fourth don’t arrogantly charge a service charge if you are unable to provide a decent level of service. Not coming back, you are an hour’s drive from us, and we’ve wasted £100 on two covers we won’t be getting back already…..Food & drinks: Reviewing the restaurant : - Teeny tiny portions, crazy London prices and tasteless offerings.Really poor and very disappointing. We met up with friends for an evening mea. The restaurant is trying to emulate a trendy, upmarket venue, but falls woefully short. The menu was really limited, and very over-priced. Meals were not well presented eg sourdough starter (sharing platter) was just two door step slices of bread. I would have expected smaller chunks to share, with some dipping oil perhaps. Titles were pretentious - the cauliflower offering was apparently just a whole cauliflower baked....The battered haddock was more like Aunt Bessie’s frozen fish, soggy batter and a very thin, mass-produced shape. The “no waste tiramisu” was not a tiramisu at ALL (no cake/biscuit base and just cream, it was really bland.) As for the affogato- 1/4 scoop of ice cream at the bottom of a coupé glass? Seriously?Come to Ipswich- any of our pubs can do better for half the price! Total rip off and quite honestly the very worst and most expensive meal out I've ever had.The bill was outrageous AND they invoiced us for items they could not supply. No non-dairy alternatives for coffee and the bemusement when one of us asked for cream for a coffee - they came and asked what we meant and then we got a huge amount! The service charge was, frankly, and insult.

Really like this place. Friendly staff. Pub food is a level up on the norm for sure. Pricey compared to your 'normal' pub grub but worth it and reflected in the quality. We stayed in one of the new cabins and they were spot on. A few little things stopping the 5 stars like the coffee machine had old pods left in it and the showergell dispensor was empty. Other than that a pleasant stay.

Saturday evening here for my wife’s birthday. Lovely atmosphere and mix of beams and modern building. Sat in the bar area for a drink before the meal on sofas. Busy restaurant and open kitchen area which was really buzzing. Food was terrific. Steak for me, fish and chips for my wife. Staff were friendly despite being so busy. Thanks for letting us stay in the bar after our meal as we don’t get out often. Would definitely recommend to others and will return.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Weeping Willow. The staff were wonderful. Our room was comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were really good. Two minor downsides. First, the hot tub takes a lot longer to heat up than suggested. The helpful lady who took us to our room thought it would take an hour. It took almost two hours. The ground lighting from the restaurant area to the cabins would benefit from improvement. Those comments aside, we really enjoyed every aspect of our stay.

Absolutely perfect! What a fabulous stay the lodge was lovely the food was amazing and the staff couldn't do enough especially the lovely lady who didn't stop working. I think her name was Lorna apologies if I've gotten it wrong ? but thank you so much. We hope to be back ?

We were staying at a nearby campsite & this was recommended to us by the owners. Lovely meal, good atmosphere & friendly staff. My Husband only had 1 slice of roast beef, that is our only criticism.

We stayed in one of the lovely lodges for my partners birthday. The hot tub was so lovely, and sofa bed was set up great for my 5 year old son. We dined in the restaurant for dinner and we all thoroughly enjoyed what we had.

Sadly my battered fish was not crispy so left nearly all the batter, £18 is a lot for some chips and peas. We were a group of 19 and our bill was £537, disappointing. When asked by waiting staff if the food was ok I did explain why I’d not eaten the food but not offered an alternative or a refund.

Great stay at the eco lodge. Loverly room, comfy bed, amazing bath and shower. Everything was amazingly clean. A few suggestions though, Contactless check in would have been much easier, No plug sockets by the beds, no fridge (which was a must have on the hot sunny weekend we went on). Garden needed the lawn mowing desperately, was extremely overgrown. Also if taking your dog, be cautious that the gardens are not enclosed. lastly, toiletries were drilled in a metal frame to the shower wall, which meant when having a bath if you are wanting to wash your hair ect, you were unable to use the toiletries, which was a bit of a nuisance. We booked for dinner that night, and were quite disappointed by the quality. We waited 50 minutes for our dinner to arrive, none were seasoned at all, and were extremely bland. My fish and chips were extremely underdone and chewy, not what you’d expect for the price. Breakfast in the morning was very bland, and pretty basic. Overall the eco lodge was a great and comfortable stay, but would not eat at the weeping willow again.

We had a very enjoyable time in lovely surroundings. If I wanted to be ultra critical I would say that the meat on my plate was cool on arrival. The vegetables were really hot

Stayed in one of the lodges with a wood fired hot tub. Lodge was clean and comfortable bed, the hot tub was lush, we were able to stoke it up and enjoy the bubbles. Dinner was lovely, we both had chicken schnitzel but were too full for dessert. Hospitality was good and lodges will get better as the grass around the hot tub grows and foliage thickens.
