“Just had the best Indian meal we’ve ever had at The Chequers Indian Lounge in Gt Blakenham. It came with several recommendations from friends and was even better than we expected. We arrived a little early for our booking, the restaurant wasn’t even open, but were shown to our table with plenty of time to look at the menu and decide what to have. We were impressed with the selection and even more so when the food we’d ordered arrived. Everything was cooked fresh from scratch and arrived piping hot and was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. Given the restaurant is in an old pub we weren’t quite sure what to expect but the place is very tastefully decorated and had the feel of a decadent, boutique dining area with plenty of seating. The staff were very friendly and attentive and we’ll definitely be going back soon.”
