Stayed 2 nights at the weekend breakfast excellent quality hotel rooms excellent.Service was abismal seemed like all new staff who didn't have a clue. My son & his partner had to move tables as another table had not been cleared for at least an hour & flies were gathering ( they were only residents in breakfast room). We have stayed here before & Service was much bette then great hotel shocking service.

No choice of help yourself to continental breakfast anymore. Sit and wait for order to be taken. 1st day order taken pretty swiftly. 2nd day had to wait a very long time (different staff that day), and it wasn't that busy in the breakfast room, if you arent someone who doesn't want a cooked breakfast and you prefer a muffin or scone or croissant you have to pay extra which in my view is unfair if youve already paid for breakfast with your room accommodation, hence 4 stars. . Having said that if you have cooked breakfast its very nice. Some of the room decor is now starting to look a bit tired, ie carpets and paint on walls.

I love this place, I've stayed at the hotel several times, the rooms are immaculate, clean, comfortable and the sea view rooms are lovely with a wondeful sea breeze to keep you relaxed and cool, if you dont want to use the A/C. I've also stayed in the Simpson Suite a few times and again it's beautiful. The staff are always friendly, polite and very helpful. The restaurant food is always fresh and delicious, definitely my favourite place in Felixstowe.

Had lunch here so unable to rate the rooms. Three of us all ordered sandwiches which were absolutely delicious, fresh bread, ingredients inside were top notch. Service was ok brining food out but there seemed to be lots of people behind the bar and not many of them working !

Rooms beautiful up to date ,sea views balcony?. Good beer good food great staff. ?Only downside is bar shuts at 10 / 10.30 odd for a hotel. We are still going back next year.?

After a pleasant walk along the front we popped in for a quick bite to eat and a couple of pints sat outside in the sunshine. Back bacon sandwich with Brie and cranberry was delicious and good value. Side orders of cocktail sausages and fries. It was quite busy and the bar service was quite slow considering how many staff were serving. Friendly and charming though. A nice spot.

Popped in for lunch. Sat outside with a sea view table and had some lovely food. Dogs allowed outside and they had some options for the kids on the menu. Would have liked a few more food options but what we had was delicious!

Just back from a perfect midweek break. The hotel is well kept and modern right on the seafront. It is worth paying extra for a balcony so you can watch the sea from your very well equipped and comfortable room. Breakfast is excellent as is the bar and evening meals. Highly recommended!

A wonderful place that I just got introduced to. Very friendly staff. Beautiful setting too. And I never thought a fish finger sandwich and hand cut chips could be so perfect!!!!

Slightly nervous before staying because it's an old building but completely bowled over by the quality of the rooms. It was a hot day but the room was air conditioned, spacious and silent. Sea views and the sound of the waves on the beach - perfect. Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast a treat albeit too generous for us.

Just returning from a 2 night stay for a family wedding. Had a mews apartment followed by room 1. Both accommodations were spacious, immaculate and modern. Breakfast on both mornings was extremely large, well cooked and hot. Vegetarian option was available which was very tasty. Beautiful outside seating area overlooking the sea. I cannot find fault especially with the manager and staff, who appeared to have a temporary staffing issue at Breakfast yet soldiered on regardless with a smile and professionalism. Our huge thanks for ensuring a wonderful break. We will definitely be back.
