A warm and welcoming traditional pub with proper pub grub of good quality and generous portions. Good range of drinks including 3 cask ales. Our dog was made very welcome and took full advantage of the treat jar on the bar. The only negative thing from our visit was the quality of the landlords jokes.

We visited this pub whilst staying in Wissett, around a 10 min drive and were not disappointed! The table we had was large & plenty of room for the 4 of us and dog. Lovely fireplace with seating around. The food - well, such generous portions and cooked very well. My boyfriends favourite was the pork steak, cooked to perfection. Drinks fairly priced and plenty to choose from. It’s what we call, a ‘proper country pub’. Should we return to the area we would 100% visit again!

Great staff, very friendly and polite. The food was really top class. Good beers to choose from and even got a sample of a new one on tap. A varied menu with lots to choose from. I had fish chips and mushy peas, and it was so large it hardly fitted on the plate. The desserts were equally lovely. I had plum & apple crumble with custard, yummy. We will definitely be going back....soon.Parking: Plenty of room to park.

My wife and I had the 2course Xmas lunch today the food was absolutely awesome and as alway the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome we also have a very anxious dog and they always make him feel welcome as well even if he sometimes a bit barky

Not often I select EXCELLENT but this welcoming hostellery has it all. The landlords are evident and approachable. Food delicious and always generous. A disabled friend was able to order manageable food off-menu. We stayed long after closing with no pressure to leave. Highly recommended.

Had lunch in this dog friendly pub. The food was delicious, and the staff were extremely welcoming. Will definitely return when we are next in the area.
Called into this pub on the off-chance, what a find , staff were great ,food extremely tasty and toilets very clean (something I always judge !) If we are that way again will make it our first choice. Also prices were good for home made food. We'll doneParking: Large enough for size of pub
