“The name Fat Cat is very popular amongst some of the best cask pubs in the country...the one in Norwich and Sheffield are well renowned, this seems quite their equal. 11 beers on gravity and one hand pump when I went in on a Tuesday. No food beyond some snacks, but plates and cutlery provided with a stack of takeaway menus. Not the cheapest beer in town, but I'm sure I'll stop in next time I make it to Ipswich.”

“Nice eclectic little pub. Nice beers, great service. Lots of little rooms and nice beer garden to rearrange, as well as one by the roads at the front. Food looked nice but didn't try.”

“Reposting and up graded my previous post. We now go and support this pub once a week because the food is 1st class and always very welcoming. You may have to wait for the food sometimes but you know that will be cooked fresh and it always hot. This pub deserves all the support you can give them.”

“We were in the area for the weekend for a football match and found this lovely bar with amazing ales. Visited on two evenings and the bar staff were very knowledgeable about the beers on offer. Tried a mixed trio of 1/3 pint of ales, two of which I chose and asked for Lucky dip for 3rd one. All were exceptional. They do a range of ciders and food too. A gem.”

“First time coming to the flying horse, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lisa was accommodating and helpful with my mum who has a special diet requirement, Lisa suggested a few options from the menu resulting in my mum having a lovely lunch! I recommend coming here as it’s a wonderful place to come to for a light bite/dinner meal! Very happy with the experience here :)”

“Eaten here alot and it's always consistently good. Plenty of gluten free and vegan options. Freshly cooked food. Also had works Christmas meal here 2 years ago and it was really great. We usually choose the small plates, tapas style but not tapas size. Always full when we leave here. Relaxed atmosphere. Also plenty of zero alcohol choices alongside craft beers.”
