Just had mother's day meal absolutely lovely food great service from start to finish all meals where so tasty would definitely be recommending to book for a meal fantastic thanks very much red lion

Sad to see a great pub foing down the HillWe were given just one menu ..set menu used for Sunday only ,we requested if could just have one corse as we are small eaters so been advised that it is possible ..to our surprise when the bill came ,we had 3 fish and chips and 2 roast ..guess over £120 which I found it really pathetic and suggested this new owners are ripping off the locals so I question the owners to clarify why we were charged £21 for one fish and chips when in their normal menu is advertised as £17 which I believe it is still really high…been told that this is because it is Sunday and their fish and chips it is sourced locally and all that …guess what the tartar sauce did contradict them as was bought in so….really disappointed and we never will go back again as we feel like this new owners are after the money more than building a good reputation with the locals …before I put this review online I did approached the owner by email to share our disappointment and they were no keen on listening so no bother to send them email no point

We ate here lunch time today, the food was 1st class as was the friendly service, we will be coming back to sample the Friday evening Thali. Eat here and I'm sure you wont be disappointed, don't forget to register your car at the bar though.

The best place to have a delicious meal! The pub looks very chic and clean, the food is delicious and freshly cooked and the staff is very helpful. I was recommended to try Tandoori style paneer steak and it was absolutely amazing! Thank you everyone for the hard work and well done to the whole team. ?

amazing accommdation we stayed in there little barn with our dog and 2 year old it was very comfortable, clean , luxurious, and amazing shower. We ate both nights food was very good , and reasonably priced , specially the sticky chicken wings , and beef stew with dumplings were outstanding. well done guys hope to see you again in summer.
Honestly, can say what a wonderful pub. Pint and landlord brilliant.I can highly recommend this pub. He sorted me a taxi when I had missed the bus and my phone had died. I can't thank him enough. Thank you

Our Christmas Day meal made up of 6 courses was absolutely delicious. The staff were very attentive and we were not rushed into moving on to the next part of the meal. The atmosphere was very relaxing with just a quiet hum of voices from other diners. Overall a very pleasant experience.

After a long dog walk we decided to visit The Red Lion. Lovely warm welcome, great we could take our dog in. They provided a bowl and dog biscuits which was a nice touch. Ordered fish and chips and a burger. All the food lovely hot, presented well and very tasty. Great atmosphere and will definitely visit again. Thank you for a lovely lunch!

It was too overpriced when I visited whilst being empty I thought the food would come quicker but staff were sat behind the bar talking, wouldn’t come back until it would change
