What’s happened to this lovely place? Was a favourite of ours but unfortunately went recently with family and menu seems to have been greatly reduced. No steak at all. Mushy peas totally dried out and vinaigrette type dressing all over a child’s burger bun. Service wasn’t great either. Won’t be back in a hurry.

Went to The Shannon at Bucklesham for lunch yesterday with my Mum.We both had a delicious Chilli con carne, which we both agreed we would have again in the near future.Other customers had delicious looking roasts (beef or pork options), which were served with plenty of vegetables and lovely Yorkshire puddings and gravy. We were looked after very well by Alex, who although was busy made sure that we had everything we needed. He was also very kind to allow us to change tables so that my Mum could sit near a radiator as she does feel the cold! This was really appreciated.I would highly recommend The Shannon for a lovely meal at a reasonable price.Thank you☺️

Pub still looks the same (pretty, quaint and clean) as when I visited over 8 months ago (prior to this visiting regularly) when seemed like everything we ordered they didn't have, known after ordering and a bit naff service so avoided for a while. Today, Service was good, polite helpful staff. Its the little things in life....like no wedge of lemon to squeeze over whitebait starter , which was accompanied with a teeny pot of tartare sauce and a dollop of almost green, limp lettuce.Had the Jammy Burger, lovely! Served with disappointing, limp, soggy skinny fries. No crisp or crunch to them at all. Same as my friend's hand cut chips. Can't win them all I suppose but feel you should when paying to eat out.Always been a relaxing meal here. Couldn't hear the background music at all today. Drowned out by screaming, whinging kids running a muck generally in the bar area.Must be getting old as always feel pubs (unless a Hungry Horse or Thresher style place with play areas for kids) should be , like dogs,. Well behaved welcome.Nice clean toilets.?

Yet another visit here for us .....Brilliant menu with great variety of dishes. We took our friends last night who had the Game stew and Sausage pie and they were not disappointed. We have tried a lot of dishes served here and they have all been delicious. Service as usual, was excellent. Very friendly and lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you haven’t been already!

Lovely bar/restaurant. The food is delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Served very quickly. I can recommend the roast dinners. The beef was so tender.

Always love coming to this village pub! Gorgeous decor. Best burgers ever! Food is out of this world. We can never finish our mains as the portions as so big and fantastic value for money. This suits families, couples, large groups, everyone is catered for. Great place to have a drink in the summer too. Dog friendly also!
