I usually have my fish and chips delivered but today I ate in the cafe next do, chips were lovely but far too many, they are putting something in the batter as it was yellow underneath and it's making the batter too

The chicken was over cooked sassages tasted horrible and chips were very greasy and tasted reheated and one of owners w As Verry gobby never going back there !!

Went here last week with friends at teatime & we ate in their restaurant. The food was extremely tasty - we could tell that it had all been freshly cooked to order & not just sat around like some chippies do. The chips were beautifully cooked as were the sausages that I had. My 2 friends each had the fish & said that the golden batter in it was the nicest they'd eaten in a very long time. Food wise, I'd give this place top marks for sure. The only drawback here is they are quite expensive we thought - £48 for 3 people in a chip shop? Maybe it's with the price of everything going up, & the fish was absolutely gorgeous as I said, plus you always pay more to sit in instead of takeaway, but we just thought it was slightly steep. But hey ho, we all enjoyed it and that's what matters, so ok to pay it as a treat now & then, but you couldn't really afford those prices on a regular basis to visit a backstreet chippy I wouldn't have thought. I'd come back here though if in the area as although a bit pricey, the food quality certainly makes up for it.

Did have lunch recently. Ordered larger fish and chip. Fish - really big one and I cannot have any chip after fish as I am full. Crispy cover and fish inside give tender and fresh taste. Oily but it is fish and chip. ?.I tried many fish and chips before . It is my most favourite one now as fish’s taste does not go away. Will just have regular one next time.

We had sausage and chips and my daughter had fish nuggets and chips the chips were very dry and hard and the sausages were hard couldn't hardly cut into them and my daughters fish nuggets were just like a fish cake cut into pieces absolutely awful . I normally like them from there but the past few times they have been horrible £14.70 it cost and they all went in the bin .

This is a plain and simple fish and chip cafe rather than a restaurant. It has a wide range of fish, pies, etc on offer and our fish was first class quality and very generous portions. No frills but good value and old fashioned in a good way!
Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Excellent batter and fish. Grandchildren enjoyed it.

I ordered a small chips and medium fish from here, very friendly service, there were much bigger portion sizes available. But i was very satisfied with how much I got as you can probably tell from the picture, the fish is hanging from the plate. Everything was delicious, and the price was good too. Would highly recommend

You cannot beat this fish and chip shop. Have been going here for years. The food is cooked to perfection everytime. Dont know what they do to the chips, but they are so much nicer than other shops, and we've tried a lot of placesVery generous portions too.Spoilt now, never go anywhere else locally for fish and chips, absolutely lovely?
