Harvester Potters Kiln Lowestoft

Since my hometown doesn’t have a Harvester, a friend and I decided to drive 30 miles to the nearest one in Lowestoft. Despite a delay caused by a traffic accident, we eventually arrived and were warmly welcomed by the reception staff, who quickly led us to our table. Our server, Divide, was both professional and charming; she took our order and thoughtfully recommended some items from the new menu launched that day, enhancing the comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

I opted for Harvester’s Famous Full Rack of Ribs, served with classic chips and salad, which I helped myself to from the salad bar, paired with a medium glass of orange juice. The ribs were tender, falling off the bone, and cooked to perfection. During our visit, I used the men’s restroom, which was clean and well kept. Parking was easy as I found a spot directly opposite the main entrance.

All in all, we enjoyed a delightful and satisfying evening

Found Oulton Rd, fish & chip shop whilst on holiday. This is definitely one of the best fish n chip shops I’ve ever visited. The owner is very friendly and polite and so are his team. The food is cooked to perfection and fresh, and the portions are very generous. It’s just a shame that I live over 150 miles away, because I’d make this my go to chippy, and I’ll definitely revisit when I’m on holiday there again. ?

No other take away in Lowestoft compares.
I don't usually like chips from a takeaway as most of the time they are a soggy mess. The chips your serve are incredible. Crispy, perfectly seasoned and you get loads.
The Mac and cheese is so creaming and the right consistency and my partner said your pizza is better than dominos. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was a fabulous find. Stunning views over the Broads, and the service was really friendly and they made us feel welcome. I had the Philly Cheese smashed patty burger and the garlic bread with cheese — both were full of flavour and really tasty. The menu is small but everything we had was very good. We have always loved Amanda’s brownies, and so we decided to order some for our wedding!! We went for the DIY option, and ordered 7 flavours of brownie bites: orange, malteaser, biscoff, Black Forest, raspberry and white choc, daim, and kinder bueno. Amanda was so helpful throughout, responded to our messages really quickly and the process was so smooth. The day before the wedding we picked up our brownies which was very quick and straight forward and then enjoyed them on the wedding day! We had so many guests compliment us on the brownies and they were an absolute hit. The perfect finishing touch, we’d definitely recommend making these brownies a part of your day!

The staff were amazing, very knowledgeable about the menu, attentive and friendly, food was a taste sensation , the lemon tart was sublime, 4 of our group had the fillet steak and the feedback was “melt in the mouth” . Our only critique would be portion size for the larger eaters of our group, sides could be an option but we didn’t see them on the menu, but I’m sure if we had asked the staff would have obliged as that is the sort of service they gave, nothing was a bother. We all loved it and will go back.

Really nice restaurant in a good location. Plenty of parking and a short stroll from the main road.
This was our first time, but thoroughly enjoyed our food and the ambience, which was relaxed and quiet.
I had the burger which was properly cooked and not cremated. Seasoned well in a brioche bun. Chips were nice and crispy. Don't order an extra portion as we did as you get plenty with your meal.
My wife had the carbonara, which she loved. Got a full bowl, which was a bit too much for her, but she thoroughly enjoyed it.
Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes and the quality of the food.
The staff were very friendly and professional. They always made sure we were ok and were quick with the food and drinks.
I'm glad we went and will certainly be back.
The only reason why we haven't scored Giardino 5 stars was the lack of Italian dishes. Yes, they had ravioli, pizza, carbonara, and calzones but I really fancied a good spaghetti Bolognese, which wasn't on the menu, hence why I went for the burger. Which didn't disappoint.

Ordered a meal to be delivered, when it arrived we paid in cash plus tip.About 15 minutes later we received a call from The New Hong Kong accusing us of not paying. No matter what we said we were told they were going arrive on our doorstep and demand payment.During the call the amount that we were being accused of not paying was clearly for a different customer. We checked our address with them and they had rung the wrong number. I could hear arguing in the background where the girl said she had rung the right number but we had answered!We had a very lukewarm apology she then hung up on us without taking any responsibility for the mistake when we asked to speak to the owner.They shouldn't leave without payment, give customers receipts and this awful situation would not occur. It was a very unpleasant call, they should be very embarrassed by the way they spoke to us and hanging up on us.Seriously not impressed.Added 26/03/2023Today the owners came personally to my home address and apologised, bringing with them a large box of chocolates.That shows integrity. I am very impressed.

Every now and then I have a full English breakfast. Today I stayed local googled to see who was doing breakfasts. I like breakfast at breakfast time not when a cafe decides to open at 10am. These people open early enough to qualify. On arrival I was greeted by a staff member, first impression was a clean establishment with an open as such kitchen. I ordered a coffee and breakfast, toast all in for under a tenner. Service was good the coffee was good as was the breakfast. I would return, don’t know when, would I recommend, yes.

Amazing food and it's truly authentic food they serve. Everyone super nice and I've been a none stop regular ever since I tried it for the first time. The wonton soup is one of my favorite especially the beef and broccoli and Mongolian beef with shrimp fried rice. The ambiance was really nice and super clean. They're constantly cleaning the restaurant which is super important for me to eat at a restaurant. I love how fast the food comes out. Everything super fresh and made to order. Another visit to the Oddfellows Arms in Pakefield, another visit enjoyed. Although there were no actual vegetarian options, I adapted the ham, egg and chips and had no ham, obvs! Well cooked and presented. The range of real ales certainly whet the tastebuds. I chose, after asking to sample a guest ale, Nightingale, a palatable amber brew. A friendly, local, with the option of sitting on the green overlooking the sea. Dog friendly and sensible prices. Worth a visit if in Pakefield.

I don't live in Lowestoft but when I visit, this little cafe is high on my visit list. The food is excellent, generous, wide variety, all at very competitive prices. Hot drinks are similarly well prepared and presented, with good quality coffee, and adequate brew strength. Certainly better than the large chains for drinks, and completely knock them out of the street for food.
It's a quirky little high street cafe with bags of character and interest.

Great little venue, food, bowling, pool tables and a soft play area. Bowling seemed a bit expensive as you pay per person and then you also have to pay for how many actual games you want but was good fun and a nice family atmosphere.

Excellent venue, really great programme of events and very supportive for local companies. We saw A Christmas Carol there and it was superb. Staff are friendly and welcoming. A proper gem in Lowestoft’s cultural life. Well worth a visit. If you haven’t been before I’d thoroughly recommend it.

Pips is a local chippy, the owner knows his clients orders by memory and he has a happy and friendly manner. The fish was cooked fresh and the chips portions are generous. The fish itself was nicely cooked with a crispy outer batter and a moist flaky insides, I had Haddock and my wife had cod and both were cooked well. We'd definitely return
